Black Jack is a balanced 50/50 hybrid from Spanish breeder Sweet Seeds, catalogued as variety SWS01. It crosses an elite Black Domina '98 clone with an elite Jack Herer clone, and it ships as feminized photoperiod seed.
Its competition record is the headline. Sweet Seeds lists 10 awards for Black Jack between 2008 and 2017, from indoor hydro cups in Málaga to an outdoor podium at the Secret Cup in Naples.
Black Domina '98 meets a Jack Herer clone
The indica half is Black Domina. Leafly lists it as a four-way blend of Northern Lights, Ortega, Hash Plant and Afghani. It is a pure indica that flowers in 7–9 weeks and tests around 20% THC.
The sativa-leaning half is Jack Herer, created in the Netherlands in the mid-1990s by Sensi Seeds. Leafly traces it to a Haze hybrid crossed with a Northern Lights #5 × Shiva Skunk line. The strain is named for the activist and author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes.
Jack Herer later reached Dutch pharmacies and went on to parent other well-known lines. Leafly lists Cinderella 99 and Amnesia among its descendants.
Sweet Seeds picked a Jack Herer phenotype for its Haze-leaning character, then paired it with the dense, resinous Black Domina '98 cut. The breeder calls the result one of its most potent and productive hybrids, with strong hybrid vigor.

Black Jack's run of trophies started in 2008. That year it took 1st Prize Indoor Hydro at the III Encuentro Por La Normalización in Málaga, 2nd Prize for Best Hashish at X Revolta Verde in Girona, and 3rd Prize Outdoor at the V Copa Bitox in Sabadell.
In 2009 it repeated the Málaga win with 1st Prize Indoor Hydro at the fourth edition. The same year brought 2nd Prize Indoor at Fumaria in Lleida and 3rd Prize Indoor Hydro at the first Copa THC Skunk in Donostia.
The strain then won abroad. It placed 2nd Outdoor at Argentina's Copa de Cultivadores de Cannabis in 2012 and 2nd Indoor Hydro at the VII Copa del Gremi in Barcelona in 2014.
Black Jack took 1st Prize Indoor at the I Certamen de Horticultura Cannábica in Montevideo, Uruguay, in 2016. Its most recent listed result is 2nd Prize Outdoor at the 2017 Secret Cup Napoli in Italy.
A 9-week bloom and 3-meter outdoor plants
Sweet Seeds rates Black Jack at 9 weeks of indoor flowering, with outdoor plants ready in early October. Indoor yields run 500–600 g/m², while outdoor plants return 500–700 g each.
The plant grows vigorously with a well-branched frame that shows both indica and sativa traits. Indoors it stays compact under good conditions. Planted directly in the ground with plenty of sun, it can reach about 3 meters and turns into a resin-heavy, hairy plant.
