Blackberry Pie is a hybrid from Gage Green Genetics, the breeding crew that grew out of late-2000s cannabis forums. It crosses Jojorizo's Blackberry Widow with Crystal Locomotive F1, two clone-only plants that share one standout ancestor: '98 Aloha White Widow sits on both sides of the family tree.

Gage Green and the forum era
Gage Green Group dates its start to 2008 and was founded by Michael Jie Shen Fang. The early releases came from growers known online as Keyplay and M4k, and public seed drops began through Attitude Seed Bank in 2010. The crew leaned on natural breeding, living soil and strict selection of males that pass on structure, resin and vigor.
The catalog made its mark fast. Grape Stomper and Mendo Breath became signature lines, and High Times named Mendo Breath one of its top strains of 2016. Jojorizo, a forum-era collector who shared rare plants and seeds with the crew, supplied the Blackberry Widow side. That plant combines '98 Aloha White Widow with Nebu's Blackberry. Blackberry itself traces back to The Black and Afghani, with Mexican and Vietnamese landrace material deeper in its line.
Crystal Locomotive F1 pairs Trainwreck with the same '98 Aloha White Widow. So the widow line enters twice, once through each parent, while Blackberry and Trainwreck come in from separate branches. The White Widow behind it all goes back to a Brazilian sativa and an Indian indica.
