Where It Comes From
ThugPug Genetics built this cross in Michigan and released it as regular seed only, no feminized version. It moved through Michigan seed banks first, then spread to West Coast menus and competition rooms as growers caught on. The timing mattered: cannabis was consolidating hard around sweet, dessert-leaning cuts in the Gelato and Runtz mold, and Peanut Butter Breath went the opposite direction, nutty and savory instead of fruit and sugar.
The Cross
The cross is Do-Si-Dos onto a Mendo Breath F2 male, credited under the line name Studly Spewright. Do-Si-Dos carries Cookies-family density and resin and was popular enough on its own to be named Strain of the Year in 2021. Mendo Breath F2 comes out of Gage Green Group, a cross of OGKB and their Mendo Montage male, which is where the OG-adjacent weight traces back to.
The plant runs as a balanced hybrid: sativa-like stretch through flower on a frame that finishes dense and heavily frosted, ready in roughly 8 to 10 weeks. Flower runs compact and trichome-heavy, green through purple depending on the pheno, with a knobby calyx structure on the better cuts.
