Junglato is a Jungle Boys hybrid that crosses TK Lato with Jungle Cake. The Los Angeles cultivator, founded in 2006, sells it as numbered selections, and a 3.5g jar of Junglato #29 listed on Weedmaps tested at 34.3% THC.
Both parents run through Florida's Triangle Kush, once on each side. That makes Junglato a Gelato and Wedding Cake cross with a double dose of the same Florida Kush line underneath.
TK Lato, a Jungle Boys original
The first parent is TK Lato, which Leafly credits to Jungle Boys. It crosses Gelato with Triangle Kush and sits as a balanced 50/50 hybrid at about 20% THC. Some Leafly reviewers say it plays more indica-leaning in practice, with a relaxing body side under a creative, euphoric start.
Triangle Kush is a Florida indica. Its name refers to the state's three cannabis capitals: Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa. Growers put its flowering time at about 70 days, and Leafly lists typical potency around 20% THC.
Jungle Cake and the Wedding Cake family
Jungle Cake supplies the other half. Leafly credits Seed Junky Genetics with the cross of Wedding Cake and White Fire #43, and Jungle Boys lists it among the signature strains it grows in-house. Leafly rates Jungle Cake as a balanced hybrid at about 21% THC.
Wedding Cake itself comes from Triangle Kush and Animal Mints, which is where the second Triangle Kush thread enters Junglato. Leafly named Wedding Cake its 2019 Strain of the Year. The same cut also goes by Triangle Mints #23, and it is sold as Pink Cookies in Canada.
White Fire #43 is a selection from White Fire OG, originally bred by OG Raskal. TLC Collective in Los Angeles picked it out of more than 500 White Fire OG seeds, and it has since parented crosses such as 5G and Flame N Hotz.
Numbered cuts: Junglato #1 and #29
Jungle Boys releases Junglato by selection number. Weedmaps lists 3.5g jars of Junglato #1 and plain Junglato at 27.2% THC, while Junglato #29 tested at 34.3%. Leafly puts a more typical figure at 24% THC and describes deep green buds with heavy trichome coverage.
Junglato #29 has also made it east. The Highest Critic reviewed it in Florida on March 16, 2022, describing frosty buds in several shades of green with orange pistils and enough trichomes to look snow-covered.
That reviewer came away relaxed and happy. Leafly users describe a talkative, euphoric and focused high that leans calming overall, and they point to tropical fruit and sweet cream in the flavor.
A 20-year pheno-hunting program
Jungle Boys dates back to 2006 and marked its 20-year anniversary in 2026. The company calls itself a collective of cultivators focused on clean, potent cannabis, and it keeps a genetics library of more than 500 rare cultivars.
Junglato is a product of that approach. Jungle Boys says its signature strains come from years of pheno-hunting, grown in-house and sold coast to coast. Its stores now span Los Angeles, Orange County, Pomona and San Diego in California, plus 13 locations in Florida.
