Wedding Cake is Seed Junky Genetics' Triangle Kush cut run over Animal Mints — first known as Triangle Mints #23 before the Jungle Boys gave it the name that stuck. The bakery reference is doing some marketing work: this is a tangier, more peppery smoke than "wedding cake" suggests, built on earth, diesel, and Kush fuel with vanilla frosting riding shotgun rather than driving. Dense buds, a heavy trichome coat, and a body-forward high are the parts everyone agrees on.
Where It Comes From
Seed Junky Genetics — the California breeding operation run by JBeezy — built the modern Mints lineup by putting a selected Animal Mints male over a Triangle Kush mother. The standout cut from that cross ran as Triangle Mints #23 before the Jungle Boys, the L.A. grow collective, renamed it for its sweet, cake-like nose. Up north the same genetics circulate as Pink Cookies.
The original Seed Junky cut has always been clone-only; it was never put out as feminized seed, which is part of why so many different "Wedding Cake" packs exist under other breeders' names today.
The Cross
Triangle Kush is a Florida OG line, and it's what supplies the earthy, gas-forward backbone underneath everything else. Animal Mints — itself a cross of Animal Cookies and SinMint Cookies — brings the Cookies-family density, sweetness, and resin that made the Mints family famous. That Animal Mints parent is also the connective tissue between Wedding Cake and its siblings across Seed Junky's mints catalog.
Caryophyllene, limonene, and myrcene do most of the terpene work, and grown well it throws dense colas, bright orange pistils, and a trichome layer thick enough to show up in photos from across the room.
