MAC 1 is Capulator’s selected plant from Alien Cookies F2 crossed with Miracle 15. Capulator gave the breeding account directly in a Cannabis Now interview: Alien Cookies received Miracle 15 pollen, ten seeds were grown, and the plant that became MAC 1 was selected from that group. A licensed nursery also publishes the same core pedigree for a Capulator-labeled clone.
MAC and MAC 1 Are Not Interchangeable
MAC names the broader Miracle Alien Cookies family; MAC 1 identifies one specific keeper. That number is central to the cultivar’s identity. Seed-derived siblings can share the same parents without being MAC 1, and a later backcross can be related without replacing the selected clone. The label should distinguish population, keeper, seed recreation, and descendant.
Miracle 15 is itself the male selection Capulator used in the breeding project. The famous washing-machine story belongs to the seed lot behind that male, not to the finished MAC 1 clone. Keeping the sequence straight preserves the part of the story the breeder actually told: selection work on both sides, followed by a ten-seed hunt for the keeper.
Why Clone Origin Matters
MAC 1 circulates primarily through cuttings of the selected plant. A nursery selling a Capulator cut should be able to identify where it came from and how it was maintained. A flower producer then owns the cultivation quality, harvest timing, cure, and batch chemistry of its own run. Capulator’s breeder credit remains stable across those later grows.
The plant is widely photographed with pale, resin-heavy flower and compact structure. That appearance helps explain its popularity but cannot authenticate a clone or predict potency. Similar frost can appear on many cultivars, including Kush Mints; identity comes from traceable plant material and labeling, not visual resemblance.
Category and Experience
Hybrid is the useful broad category. Sour, creamy, floral, or citrus descriptions vary across growers, as do reports of creativity, calm, or physical weight. None of those experiences is universal or medical guidance. The exact laboratory panel and package date describe the batch; the Alien Cookies F2 × Miracle 15 lineage describes the keeper’s origin.
MAC 1 can be compared with Los Muertos, where breeder and cultivator are also clearly separated, and with LPC x Jealousy, where the original breeder is not settled. Many celebrated clone stories are reconstructed years later from menus and forum memory. MAC 1 is different because Capulator described the breeding decision, the male’s role, the pollination, the number of seeds, and the keeper selection in a direct interview. That account does not answer every later question about who holds an authentic cut, but it establishes a strong origin. It also gives the #1 suffix real meaning: one plant chosen from a small population because it combined the qualities the breeder wanted to preserve. That specificity is the foundation for responsible clone authentication across later licensed markets.
