Orange Bellini is a sativa from Maven Genetics, bred in-house from Orange Truffle Soufflé and Peach Creme Gelato. Maven, a San Fernando Valley operation that started as a closet grow, cultivates and releases the flower under its own name.
Its headline moment came in July 2023, when Orange Bellini took first place in Sativa Flower at the High Times Cannabis Cup SoCal People's Choice edition. Maven has since used it as a parent in its own breeding.
A first-place finish at the 2023 SoCal Cup
High Times ran the 2023 SoCal People's Choice Cup through July, with consumers judging the entries. Orange Bellini won the Sativa Flower division outright. A Golden State's Lava Flower took second, and Seed Junky's Gello Shotz landed third.
That podium put a Maven house cross ahead of entries from A Golden State and Seed Junky. For a cultivar bred and grown by the same company, the win tied the result directly to Maven's own selection work rather than to an outside cut.
Orange Truffle Soufflé meets Peach Creme Gelato
Maven lists the cross as Orange Truffle Soufflé × Peach Creme Gelato. The name reads like the drink: an orange-led parent joined to a peach-led one. Flavor follows suit, with Leafly reviewers summing it up as orange and peaches.
Peach Creme Gelato is itself a Maven cultivar, made from Gelato Gas and Peach Ringz. Leafly classifies that parent as indica-leaning. Orange Bellini flips the balance, and Maven files it firmly under sativa in its strain library.

The pairing puts a sativa award winner against one of Maven's heavier indica lines, and the result still lands in the sativa column. Orange Sapphire carries the Orange Bellini name forward into a second generation.
That gives Orange Bellini two jobs in the Maven catalog. It is a finished sativa with a 2023 People's Choice title behind it, and it is breeding stock for newer Maven releases.
