Where It Comes From
Maven built Orange Sapphire by pairing two established house cultivars rather than importing outside genetics, and the strain sits in the active sativa section of the brand's library. Orange Bellini came out of Maven's Fall 2022 collection. Blue Lotus had already become a structural piece of the catalog, showing up behind Blue Agape, French Lotus and later seed work.
The name maps directly onto the selection. Orange identifies the citrus-forward parent. Sapphire points at the indigo color inherited from the Blue Lotus side. Nothing about it is abstract, which is a decent tell for how literal the finished plant turns out to be. Maven named what it saw, then a judging panel agreed with the second half of it.

Maven Genetics gets both breeder and brand credit. The documented cross is Orange Bellini x Blue Lotus, and both parents are Maven's own work. Orange Bellini is documented as Orange Truffle Souffle x Peach Creme Gelato, contributing orange peel, grapefruit, pine, sweet stone fruit, cream and a brighter cerebral direction.
Blue Lotus is documented as Blue Gelato #41 x Maven's own XXX OG, and it brings the blue-to-violet pigment, berry and floral sweetness, earth, diesel, resin and a calmer physical foundation. Maven classifies the finished selection as sativa, and the Orange Bellini side is what pushes it there while Blue Lotus keeps something steady underneath.
The flower is the headline. Maven describes glistening indigo buds, and retail listings run the same way: deep indigo and violet through dense, resin-coated structure with contrasting pistils and heavy trichome coverage. Seedbank listings put flowering around 56 to 60 days. Pigment, density and resin all shift with phenotype, environment, harvest timing, dry, cure and storage.
Menu descriptions commonly call it energetic, focused, creative and happy, which is consumer-facing copy rather than breeder specification, so read it as a direction and not a spec sheet.
