Orange Sapphire is a sativa from Maven Genetics, the Los Angeles cultivator and seed breeder. Maven built it by crossing its cup-winning Orange Bellini with Blue Lotus, one of its own indica selections, and calls the result one of its most precious gems.
The name points at the color. Maven describes glistening indigo buds and calls the cross rare, which lines up with a sativa that carries an orange parent on one side and a blue indica on the other.
Orange Bellini, the 2023 SoCal winner
The orange half is Orange Bellini, a Maven sativa made from Orange Truffle Soufflé and Peach Crème Gelato. According to Leafly, it took 1st Place Sativa at the 2023 High Times Cannabis Cup SoCal: People's Choice Edition.
Orange Bellini is part of Maven's White Box Collection, a run of limited sativa-dominant cuts packaged in all white. That makes Orange Sapphire a second-generation house cross, with a trophy parent and a grandparent that Maven also keeps in its own catalog.
Blue Lotus and the indigo side
The other parent is Blue Lotus, an indica Maven built from XXX OG and Blue Gelato #41. Maven picked that cut out of 12 phenotypes and placed it in its limited Black Box Series. It flowers in 56–63 days.
Blue Lotus shows up elsewhere in the Maven library too. It sits behind Blue Agape, a cross with White Runtz, and Parisian Kush, a cross with FKAFL. Blue Agape then went on to parent Dulce De Miel, a limited cross with Honey Lemon Hibiscus. Orange Sapphire is the branch where Blue Lotus meets the orange line.
Put the two together and the family tree reads as Maven work on both sides: Orange Truffle Soufflé and Peach Crème Gelato through Orange Bellini, then XXX OG and Blue Gelato #41 through Blue Lotus.
A fast sativa with strong branching
For a sativa-leaning plant, Orange Sapphire finishes quickly. Seed listings put flowering at 56–60 days, with high yields and medium height. Plants run vigorous with manageable stretch and strong branching, take training well and grow indoors or out.
The buds come in dense and resin-coated, with indigo and violet hues that match the name. Seeds & Clones lists THC in the 22–26% range.
Flavor opens on creamy orange zest and mixed berries with a hint of diesel, then turns floral and sweet on the finish, per Maven.
Flower, pre-rolls and a Gold Blend vape
Maven runs Orange Sapphire across formats. Weedmaps lists it as indoor flower and as a 1g all-in-one vape in the Gold Blend line, made with strain-specific cannabis oil and cannabis-derived terpenes from Maven's own flower. The listing bills the vape as the same Orange Bellini and Blue Lotus pairing.
That spread fits how Maven works. The company breeds heavily, releases only standout selections and aims to reproduce exact phenotypes across fresh flower, solventless concentrates and live resin vapes.
The cross also reached home growers. Attitude Seedbank lists Maven's Orange Sapphire as feminized seed, six to a pack, so the same Orange Bellini and Blue Lotus pairing sold as flower and vapes has been available to plant as well.
