One thing worth flagging before you go looking for it: Maven's current strain library no longer lists Black Cherry Blossom. The active catalog has rotated toward newer work built around Black Diamond X, Prizm, Opal and Blue Lotus.
So it now reads as a legacy release rather than a current one, turning up on California delivery menus and in grower logs rather than on the breeder's live roster. If you find it, you are most likely looking at older stock or a cultivator still running the cut on their own.
The Cross
Maven Genetics takes breeder and brand credit, and the cross is Do-Si-Dos x Sherb Mints. Do-Si-Dos is GSC crossed with Face Off OG, an indica-dominant line built on pungent sweet earth, floral funk, OG structure and dense resin.
Maven's Sherb Mints is a Girl Scout Cookies x Kush Mints cross carrying a sweet, skunky, candy-like citrus character. Which means both sides trace back to Cookies.
Black Cherry Blossom is not a wide outcross; it is a tightly consolidated Cookies-and-OG hybrid, and that explains both the resin load and the heavy back end. Indica-dominant is Maven's classification. Phenotype, harvest timing, cure and dose decide where any given jar actually sits.
