Pleazure is an indica-leaning hybrid from Wood Wide High Craft, a small indoor grow on California's Mendocino Coast. It crosses Dweebz with ZHit, and the brand often stylizes the name as PleaZure.
The headline result came at the 2025 Humboldt Showdown, where Pleazure took first place for indoor cultivar. That win capped a run that started when Wood Wide launched in fall 2022.
Dweebz, ZHit and a Crane City seed
Leaf Magazines reports that Pleazure began with seeds from John at Crane City. Wood Wide grew them out indoors in Mendocino County.
San Diego Cannabis Times spells out the pedigree. It lists Dweebz as Runtz × Its Fire. Its Fire itself is ITZ × Fire As Fuck, and Fire As Fuck crosses Gelato 45 with Jet Fuel Gelato.
ZHit traces back to Zkittlez on one side. Put together, the cross carries Runtz, Zkittlez, Gelato and Jet Fuel in its background.
The last small indoor grow on the Mendocino Coast
Wood Wide was founded by Mike Strupp and Ryan Birchard. The company calls itself the last independently owned, small-scale indoor cannabis operation on the Mendocino Coast.
Its team is 75% women and 100% local Mendocino residents. The name High Craft nods to the legacy farming tradition that pushed the region's growers to a craft standard long before legalization.
In 2023, Leaf Magazines described Wood Wide as one of the region's only indoor cultivators. Pleazure sits on a short menu alongside Headbanger and Viper Cookies, the Viper City OG × Forum GSC cross.
Early reviews and an Emerald Cup mention
The Highest Critic's Caleb Chen reviewed Pleazure in September 2022, just as Wood Wide came to market. He noted yellow interiors, which he compared to a banana slug, under a snow-white coat of trichomes.
Chen ranked it among his favorites from that batch of samples, next to Dutch Treat. He also wrote that the high was a throwback to an era when strain names described how the flower made you feel.
His lab numbers showed beta-caryophyllene in the lead at 6.853 mg/g, followed by limonene at 4.449 mg/g and myrcene at 3.565 mg/g.
Leaf Magazines followed in March 2023 with a Leaf Pick. Writer Nate Williams listed Pleazure at 28.3% THC with 2.5% terpenes. The magazine also credited the strain with the highest terpene content for flower at the 2022 Emerald Cup.
What the flower looks like
Leaf describes classic light-green buds under a dense, sticky layer of trichomes, broken up by bright orange hairs. Wood Wide points to purple flecks and a frosty finish.
Wood Wide's own spec sheet lists limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene and linalool as the main terpenes. The strain has a candy-funk flavor, with lime and candied fruit on top.
The high is calm and mood-lifting rather than sedating. Wood Wide pitches it for slow evenings, and Chen suggested pairing it with a candlelit dinner.
A second grower in Humboldt
Pleazure has not stayed on the coast. San Diego Cannabis Times reviewed a PleaZure from UpNorth Humboldt in 2023, listing it at 32.6% total THC and 37.8% total cannabinoids.
That jar showed key-lime green leaves, bright red pistils and subtle purple in the sugar leaves. It scored 4.0 out of 5 flames.
