Purple Push Pop is a hybrid from Seed Junky Genetics, the breeding outfit run by JBeezy. It crosses Ice Cream Cake × Sunset Sherb BX1 with Jealousy F2, putting two Seed Junky creations into one plant.
The name comes straight from the purple Push Pop lollipop. The strain has since gone on to parent Pushin' Popz, and growers as far away as Connecticut now run the cut.
Ice Cream Cake, Sherb BX1 and Jealousy F2
The first half of the cross pairs Ice Cream Cake with Sunset Sherb BX1, a line from Sunset Sherbet. Seed Junky then crossed that result with Jealousy F2, a second-generation run of its own Jealousy.
Seedfinder traces the deeper background through Gelato #33, Wedding Cake, Girl Scout Cookies and OG Kush. That is a lot of Cookies family in one plant, and Leafly calls out those Cookies genetics as the strain's defining trait.
Weedmaps lists Seed Junky as the creator of Ice Cream Cake, Wedding Cake, Kush Mints and Jealousy, along with The Soap, Permanent Marker, Gello Shotz and Red Eye. Purple Push Pop pulls from the center of that catalog.
Violet flower and a 70-day run
Seedfinder puts flowering at roughly 70 days and notes the strain is sold only as feminized seed. It can be run indoors, outdoors or in a greenhouse.
The finished flower earns the name. Leafly describes violet buds under a thick, opaque layer of trichomes. Weedmaps adds dark olive green hues, icy frost and orange pistils against the deep purple.
Leafly and Weedmaps both file Purple Push Pop as indica-dominant. PURPLEFARM, which grows it in its Desserts Collection, calls it a balanced hybrid and lists THC at 25–30% with 2.5–4.5% total terpenes.
Limonene, beta-caryophyllene and myrcene lead the terpene profile on the PURPLEFARM spec sheet. The high usually opens with a relaxing body buzz, then moves into euphoria and, later in the session, sleepiness.
Growers running the cut
Seed Junky sells its own Purple Push Pop as 14 g of smalls. The strain has also traveled well beyond the breeder's garden.
PURPLEFARM lists the cultivar alongside Orange Push Pop in its Desserts Collection. The company hang-dries and hand-trims its flower, then slow cold-cures it over about six weeks without irradiation.
On the East Coast, Theraplant grows Purple Push Pop in Watertown, Connecticut, and credits Seed Junky Genetics as breeder.
From Purple Push Pop to Pushin' Popz
The strain's biggest offspring is Pushin' Popz, a cross of LA Pop Rocks × Purple Push Pop. Blue Chip Genetics sells it as a 75% indica hybrid.
Bosky Genetics carries the same LA Pop Rocks × Purple Push Pop pairing, which it credits to Seed Junky. Bosky says the cross has picked up wins at Zalympix and the Transbay qualifiers and has become an icon in its portfolio.
Other breeders have used Purple Push Pop as a parent too. Seedfinder lists Gelato Pop, made with a Gelato × Animal Mints BX partner, and Vanilla Ice from Anomaly Seeds, a Purple Push Pop × Green Jelliez F2 cross. Leafly adds Sherb Cake to the list of descendants.
