Where It Comes From
Purple Push Pop comes out of Seed Junky Genetics, the Southern California breeding house founded by JBeezy, whose garage-grown project went on to produce Ice Cream Cake, Wedding Cake, Kush Mints, and Jealousy — genetics that show up inside Purple Push Pop itself. It's a product of the dessert-and-gas breeding wave that's dominated California menus for years, built by a breeder who had already stacked most of the parent strains before he crossed them together.
The Cross
The lineage runs (Ice Cream Cake x Sunset Sherb BX1) x Jealousy F2. Ice Cream Cake — Gelato #33 x Wedding Cake — supplies the cream, vanilla, and kush backbone. Sunset Sherb BX1 reinforces fruit and citrus. Jealousy F2 layers in resin, candy sweetness, and gas, and because it's an F2 cross, individual plants can vary a little from each other instead of running as identical clones-in-seed-form. It's a feminized cross with a flowering window around 70 days, workable indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse.
The buds back it up visually — deep violet against dark green, bright orange pistils, and a heavy coat of trichomes that reads more frosted than sparkly.
The High Rise Take
Purple Push Pop's real legacy is what other breeders built with it. Seed Junky crossed it with Permanent Marker to make Permanent Push Pop, and it also shows up as a parent in Gelato Pop and, outside Seed Junky, in Anomaly Seeds' Vanilla Ice. Don't confuse it with Orange Push Pop — a separate Orange Cookies x Triangle Kush cross that just shares a naming convention.
This one's the original: berry-cream up front, kush and gas on the back end, and a growing footprint as a breeding parent in its own right.
