Route 65 is a feminized hybrid from Los Angeles breeder Wizard Trees, made by crossing Studio 54 with RS11. Both parents come out of the Rainbow Sherbet family, so the cross keeps the whole line inside one genetic lane.
Wizard Trees pitches it as a high-testing strain from that lineage, bred without outcrossing to any other genetic family, and rates its yield as heavy.
RS11, the Rainbow Sherbet cut behind the brand
RS11, also written RS-11 or Rainbow Sherbet #11, is the parent that put Wizard Trees on the map. Deo Farms of Oakland, the maker of Zoap, bred it from the OZ Kush project's Pink Guava crossed with Sunset Sherbet. Wizard Trees selected the #11 cut, and its work with that plant became a turning point for premium California catalogs.
Leafly lists RS11 as a hybrid averaging around 24% THC, with caryophyllene as its lead terpene, followed by limonene and humulene. The plant shows vivid lime green and yellow tones and flowers in about 10 weeks. By 2023, many cultivators were growing RS11 across the US.
Wizard Trees groups a whole set of seed releases under its RS-11 line, including Wizard Fuel, Tea Time, 11:11, Heel Hook, Lucky 123 and Rainbow Runtz.
Studio 54 and the Doja collaboration
Studio 54 is the other half of Route 65. It came out of a collaboration between Doja and Wizard Trees, with Deep East also attached to the release. Its lineage is Sunset Sherbet crossed with OZK #54, an OZ Kush selection.
A December 2020 review on the Los Angeles blog The Fire Scale recorded a Studio 54 batch at 27% total cannabinoids, priced from $60 before taxes. Seedfinder traces both Route 65 parents to the same two pillars, Sunset Sherbet and OZ Kush, which is why the breeder describes the cross as untouched by outside families.
Studio 54 anchors its own group in the Wizard Trees seed catalog. Route 65 sits there alongside White Soho, a White Runtz × Studio 54 cross, plus Empire 54 and Big Ben.
Growing Route 65 from seed
Route 65 is sold only as feminized seed and can be grown indoors or outdoors. Wizard Trees lists a flowering time of 9 weeks, about 63 days, which is roughly a week faster than the 10-week average Leafly gives for RS11.
The breeder rates the yield as heavy and describes a dominant gassy terpene profile. Packs have been offered in 3-seed and 6-seed sizes, with the 6-pack listed at $125. Both sizes were marked sold out on the Wizard Trees Genetics shop, and all seed sales are final.
Wizard Trees Genetics ships from Los Angeles and also runs an office in Barcelona, Spain. The company works mostly in photoperiod feminized seeds, many of them limited editions. Retailer Alchimia highlights Route 65 as one of the brand's key varieties, describing it as an exclusive cross with high potency.
