RS11 — short for Rainbow Sherbert #11 — is a DEO Farms cross of Pink Guava and Sunset Sherbert, pulled out of the seed population by Wizard Trees in Los Angeles and pushed to market alongside Doja Pak. Guava and cherry-candy sweetness sit on top; pine, pepper and fuel hold it down underneath. It runs bright and giggly early, settled later.
Where It Comes From
DEO Farms works out of Oakland, and it is the same operation behind Zoap. The Rainbow Sherbert project crossed Pink Guava — DEO's own selection out of the OZ Kush line — with Sunset Sherbert, and that population threw a run of numbered keepers.
Wizard Trees, the Los Angeles brand, took two of them: #11 and #54. Zoap came out of the same breeding work, which makes RS11 and RS54 siblings to it rather than descendants. That distinction gets flattened constantly on menus, and it changes how the family should be read.
The chain worth remembering runs three deep. DEO bred it. Wizard Trees was the first to bring the genetics to life and selected the keeper. Doja Pak partnered up and got the flower in front of people. By 2023 it was being grown across the United States, which for a boutique Los Angeles selection is a fast trip.
The Cross
The genetics are Pink Guava crossed with Sunset Sherbert. Pink Guava is DEO's own work inside OZ Kush, a line built from Zkittlez and OG Eddy Lepp, and it is the marriage of two OZ Kush forms — that side supplies the tropical juice the name advertises.
Sunset Sherbert traces to Mario Guzman's Bay Area breeding, out of Girl Scout Cookies and Pink Panties. It contributes fruit, cream, skunk and gas along with the resin and the bud structure the Cookies family is known for.
Growers put it at roughly ten weeks of flower. Retail flower is usually dense and heavily frosted, often with purple patches and orange pistils, though expression varies widely by cultivator — this is a cut that rewards a good grower and exposes a careless one.
That is the practical warning. Two jars carrying the same name can be two different products, and the difference is almost always the room they were grown in rather than the genetics on the label.
What It Left Behind
RS11 finished runner-up for Strain of the Year in 2023, the clearest recognition attached directly to the cultivar. Its bigger footprint, though, shows up in what other breeders did with it afterward.
Wizard Trees has worked the line hard, releasing crosses such as 11:11, and the RS11 descendant Magic Marker took strongest strain at Michigan's Zalympix in 2024 — a win for that cross rather than for RS11 itself, but a fair signal of what these genetics pass down. Lines that keep producing winners a generation later are the ones that stay in rotation.
