Space Cake is Bodhi Seeds' cross of the Girl Scout Cookies forum cut and Snow Lotus, released as regular seed. Bodhi's own framing says it best: the uplifting lift of Snow Lotus over the heavy bottom end of Cookies. Expect cookie dough and cream with fruit and berry edges, sweet earth, spice and fuel, finishing around nine weeks.
Where It Comes From
Space Cake belongs to a specific moment in American breeding — the stretch when the Girl Scout Cookies forum cut was the most sought-after clone in the country and every serious breeder was hunting a male worth putting to it. Bodhi's answer was Snow Lotus, and that choice is the whole project.
Rather than chasing more Cookies density, Bodhi used Snow Lotus to open the plant up: more vigor, more yield potential, more lift. The release went out as regular seed only, never feminized, which placed it squarely in the seed-hunter and breeder market rather than the commercial-menu market. That is still where you find it.
The Cross
The documented parents are Forum Cookies as the mother and Snow Lotus as the pollen parent. Snow Lotus is worth knowing on its own — an elite male Bodhi selected and used across a large share of the catalog, made from Afgooey crossed with Blockhead. Go one layer deeper and Afgooey is Afgani #1 crossed with Maui Haze, while Blockhead is a Pakistani landrace crossed with Sweet Tooth.
That is landrace and haze material sitting directly behind a Cookies cross, which was unusual at the time and is the reason Space Cake never collapses into pure dessert. The Cookies side brings sweet dough, mint, earth, kush and resin. Snow Lotus brings structure, vigor and a clean herbal-spicy undertone that cuts the sugar before it gets cloying.
Because this is a regular-seed line rather than a single clone, phenotype spread is real and expected. A Cookies-leaning plant runs denser and doughier. A Snow Lotus-leaning plant pushes brighter wood, incense and floral lift. Harvest timing, cure and storage move it further still, so two growers working the same pack can end up describing different plants.
Flower is typically medium-to-dense and heavily resinous, with green leaves, orange pistils and purple accents in some phenos. Flowering lands near 63 days, about nine weeks when run from clone, and it works indoors or out. The arc follows the genetics — buoyant early, heavier as the Cookies side settles in.
What It Left Behind
Space Cake's standing never depended on a contest result. Bodhi Seeds built a reputation among seed hunters for exactly this kind of work: taking a famous clone-only cut and handing it back to growers as workable regular seed at a fair price, with no marketing campaign attached to it.
Space Cake is one of the clearer examples of Snow Lotus doing what Bodhi selected it to do. The name has since been borrowed by unrelated products, including the Amsterdam coffee-shop edible it was always a nod to, so check the stated parents before assuming you have the Bodhi cross in front of you.
