Strawberry Runtz is a SoLoud Genetics hybrid of Kushberries × White Runtz, bred with the Cookies cut of White Runtz. SoLoud released it as a 6-pack of feminized seeds and built it around the "super strawberry" plant it had selected from its own Kushberries line.
The cross went on to anchor a family. A selfed keeper became Strawbz S1, and SoLoud has crossed Strawberry Runtz again with Red Runtz to make Red Syrup.
Kushberries brings the strawberry side
Kushberries is SoLoud's own cross of Kushberry and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. SeedFinder lists Kushberry as Blueberry crossed with OG Kush, which puts an older Kush and berry line underneath the strawberry work.
SoLoud picked the most strawberry-forward Kushberries plant it had for this cross. The breeder says every pack of Strawberry Runtz holds a keeper strawberry phenotype, with a flavor range that runs from artificial strawberry candy to fresh-cut fruit.
White Runtz and the Runtz family
The other parent is White Runtz, which Leafly lists as Gelato × Zkittlez, the same pairing behind Runtz. Leafly credits the original Zkittlez and Gelato cross to the Cookies Fam, with the Runtz crew led by Yung LB out of Long Beach popularizing it. Runtz was Leafly's Strain of the Year in 2020.
White Runtz is known for snow-white trichome coverage, according to Leafly. SoLoud names the Cookies cut specifically as the plant it used. SeedFinder records the White Runtz side of the cross as a reversal.
How Strawberry Runtz grows
SeedFinder lists Strawberry Runtz as mostly indica and ready in about 60 days, with some plants finishing at day 58 and others running a little past 60. It grows indoors, outdoors and in greenhouses, and it ships only as feminized seed.
The breeder's description on SeedFinder calls the plant a bit stretchy and recommends topping to control height and build yield, though some phenotypes stay bushier. The buds take on an OG Kush structure from the Kushberry side of the family.

Red Syrup takes the line in another direction. SoLoud crossed Strawberry Runtz with Red Runtz and sells the result in its seed catalog alongside other strawberry projects such as Strawberry Gary S1 and Strawberry Banana S1.
