Watermelon Mimosa is a hybrid from Elyon Cannabis, a family-run grower selling on both coasts in California and New Jersey. It crosses Watermelon Zkittlez with Jesus OG #10, and Leafly credits Elyon as the breeder.
The cross tests strong. A 3.5g Elyon jar sold in New Jersey came in at 27.85% THC with 2.45% total terpenes, and Leafly lists the strain at 26% THC.
Watermelon Zkittlez meets Jesus OG #10
The fruit side comes from Watermelon Zkittlez, an indica-dominant cross of The Original Z and Watermelon. The other parent is Jesus OG #10, a numbered selection from the Jesus OG line. Elyon's retail listings name both parents on every format.
Watermelon Zkittlez also sits behind Watermelon Runtz, the Silent Seeds cross that pairs it with Runtz. Where that cross doubles down on Zkittlez ancestry, Watermelon Mimosa swaps the candy half for an OG.
On its own, Watermelon Zkittlez tests around 24% THC on Leafly, which recommends it for the end of the day. Crossed with Jesus OG #10, it produced a hybrid that Leafly users tag with daytime words instead.
Terpenes and test results
Limonene leads the terpene profile on Leafly, followed by caryophyllene and myrcene. Lab data on the New Jersey 3.5g showed beta-caryophyllene at 0.59%, with alpha-humulene and beta-myrcene each at 0.26% and linalool at 0.19%.
Numbers shift from batch to batch. Another Elyon eighth tested at 24.23% THC and 1.54% total terpenes, while a 1.25g Elyon pre-roll came in at 21.41% THC with 1.12% terpenes.
Leafly users most often call the high energetic, happy and creative, and the strain earns a 4.5 out of 5 rating across 37 reviews. Retail notes describe sweet fruit with a hint of citrus, and Leafly lists an average price of $40–$50.
Living soil under greenhouse glass
Elyon describes itself as a small, family-oriented team of local growers and business owners. Its founding idea was simple: top-shelf cannabis without a top-shelf price tag.
The company hand-cultivates in custom-blended living soil, with no coco, rockwool or perlite. Plants grow in sun-powered greenhouses fitted with indoor-level climate controls, and Elyon feeds only OMRI-certified nutrients. In California it operates under license C11-0001305-LIC through Bango Distribution.
The lineup covers pre-rolls, eighths, concentrates and infused pre-rolls, sold through retailers and LeafLink wholesale in both states.
Flower, pre-rolls and cured resin
Watermelon Mimosa shows up across most of that range. Elyon sells it as 3.5g flower and as single 1.25g pre-rolls, with listings in New Jersey and California dispensaries.
The strain has also moved into concentrates. High Road carries a 1g Watermelon Mimosa cured resin on Weedmaps, processed by Oasis and credited to Elyon's cultivar.
A second grower's cut
Elyon is not the only grower with this cross. The Highest Critic reviewed a Watermelon Mimosa from Cream of the Crop Gardens, also bred from Watermelon Zkittlez × Jesus OG 10, packaged in January 2022.
That batch tested at 32.56% THC, 33.51% total cannabinoids and 3.23% terpenes. The review scored it 92.75 out of 100, with perfect marks for weight and 93 for both smoke and potency.
