Connected Cannabis Co. is a vertically integrated California cannabis company built around proprietary genetics, indoor cultivation and its own retail. Caleb Counts, co-founder and master grower, began the cultivation work behind it in 2009 and established the Connected brand in 2018, launching it at Fruitridge Health & Wellness Dispensary in Sacramento. Its tagline is cultivated for connoisseurs.
Products and genetics
The menu spans top-shelf indoor flower, pre-roll singles and packs, cartridges and disposables, extracts including live resin and badder, and edibles. Biscotti, Gelato 41, Permanent Marker, Gushers, Toad Venom, Bluephoria, Gascotti and Juici are among the cultivars carried under the brand. California licence numbers published on the site are C11-0001367-LIC, C10-0000330-LIC, C10-0000500-LIC and C10-0000501-LIC.
Alien Labs and Smoken Promises
Connected describes Alien Labs as a longtime partner rather than an in-house label, and the two appear together across its stores and markets. In February 2025 Connected launched Smoken Promises with the lifestyle brand Broken Promises, founded by Jason Blake and Mandee Bence. The line started as eighths and pre-rolls in more than 175 California dispensaries, with quarter-ounce sizes following in the second quarter of 2025.
Stores and footprint
Three flagship stores operate in Sacramento, Stockton and San Francisco, each open daily. Connected products are sold through licensed dispensaries in California, Arizona, Florida, Pennsylvania and New York. In January 2022 Trulieve became the exclusive producer, processor and retailer of Connected-branded products throughout Florida, placing them across Trulieve's Florida dispensaries; Trulieve was already a Connected partner in Arizona.

General inquiries go to cs@connectedca.com. The company warns that counterfeiters replicate its packaging and vape hardware, and directs buyers to licensed dispensaries in its authorised markets. Job openings are posted on its Greenhouse careers board.

Connected identifies Alien Labs as a longtime partner and places both names alongside Smoken Promises in its house-brand navigation. The broader store menus also carry unrelated third-party products. Seeing a brand in a Connected store does not establish common ownership, so house brands, collaborations and ordinary retail assortment remain distinct.

Strain pages feature cultivars such as Biscotti, Permanent Marker and Gelato 41, but availability varies by store and market. Package labels and licensed menus control for potency, ingredients, batch identifiers and warnings; names alone cannot show that two state-specific products are identical.

Connected also publishes California license numbers in the site footer and warns consumers about counterfeit packaging and hardware.
