Kingpen is the California vape and infused pre-roll brand that launched in 2014 as 710 Kingpen alongside Kingroll, its kief-coated joint. Made at Loudpack's Greenfield plant, it ranked third in California pre-roll sales in July 2026, carried by Kingrolls, and it belongs to the StateHouse portfolio that a court-appointed receiver has been selling since the company's 2024 collapse.
From 710 Kingpen to Kingroll
The original name carried 710, the number that reads OIL when flipped, and the pitch was potent, strain-specific THC cartridges. During its Cannabis Cup run, the cart menu read like a greatest-hits list of the era: Super Lemon Haze, Jack Herer and Cali-O on the sativa side, King Louis OG and Skywalker OG for indica fans, and Jillybean, Gelato, Romulan Grapefruit, Three Kings and Trainwreck among the hybrids.
Kingpen triple-refines its oil and blends it with strain-specific terpenes. Kingroll took that oil and put it on whole flower, then rolled the joint in kief. Loudpack calls Kingpen an OG member of the Loudpack family, and the oil is made in the company's own manufacturing lab in Greenfield.
A shelf full of Cannabis Cups
Kingpen bills itself as the most awarded vape pen cartridge in the history of the High Times Cannabis Cup, and the run started early. It took first place for Best Vaporizer at the 2015 SoCal Medical Cannabis Cup. At the July 2016 SoCal Medical Cannabis Concentrates Cup, entries from 710 Kingpen and Greenwolf won the sativa, hybrid and indica vape cartridge categories with Cali-O, Lemon Chem and Skywalker.
Gelato carried 2017, with first place at the SoCal Medical Cannabis Cup, first at the Midwest Cannabis Cup and second at the NorCal Cannabis Cup, while the Double Barrel Vape won Best Product at the SoCal Harvest Cup. Kingpen also lists first-place High Times finishes for Skywalker OG in 2019 and Original Zookies in 2021, when Kingrolls in Cannalope AK x Cannalope Kush and Do Si Do x Cannalope Kush took second and third in pre-rolls.
The 2019 packaging overhaul
Success brought knockoffs. By September 2019, fake Kingpen boxes and hardware were being sold openly in Los Angeles shops, and Kingpen scrapped its rectangular paper boxes for square metal tins. Every unit got an Izon 3D authentication label from De La Rue that could be checked at KPVALID.com, and verified codes earned points in a new King's Club loyalty program.
The cartridge was reworked at the same time, trading the stainless-steel hex mouthpiece for hardened ceramic and moving from two oil intake holes to five. At that point the line ran to more than 30 Kingpen products, sold only through licensed California retailers.
Kingroll takes over
The joint eventually outgrew the cart. Pre-rolls made up about 70% of Kingpen's California sales in July 2026, and the top seller was the 1.3-gram Kingroll in Cannalope AK x Cannalope Kush, according to Headset. Kingpen held third place in California pre-rolls every month from May through July 2026, the same spot it held a year earlier, and its July sales were up 14.2% year over year. Tellingly, the brand's Instagram now runs under @kingroll_ca.

Carts, rosin, badder and Kingchews
The vape side still covers 510 cartridges and all-in-ones in strains like Blue Dream, Cannalope Kush, Cali-O, Gelato, Granddaddy Purple, Maui Wowie, Sky OG and Rainbow Belts. Kingpen Solventless adds 510 carts of live rosin pressed with only ice, water and pressure. In December 2025 the brand added Kingpen Concentrate, a 1.5-gram jar of live resin batter extracted in-house from fresh-frozen flower with no remediation.
Kingchews are 10mg vegan, gluten-free gummies built not to melt, in Pineapple Express, Watermelon Sorbet, Strawberry Fields, Berry Gelato and Maui Wowie Mango, plus a Blueberry Z made with CBN.
Who owns Kingpen now
Kingpen came to StateHouse Holdings when Harborside bought Loudpack in April 2022, and it still runs under Loudpack's manufacturing license alongside sister brands Fuzzies and Dime Bag. After StateHouse defaulted on its Pelorus Fund REIT loans, the Canadian parent went into bankruptcy on October 10, 2024, and receiver Kevin Singer took over the U.S. operating companies the next day.
The receiver's sale of substantially all StateHouse assets, Kingpen and Kingroll included, went to a court confirmation and overbid hearing on January 30, 2026, opening at $165 million. The deal was marked in escrow by May 2026, with no buyer announced. Kingpen carts still sit on the Bay Area Harborside menus, and the brand has kept shipping from Greenfield throughout.
