MOCA Humboldt is a small-batch cannabis producer and showroom dispensary at 204 4th Street in downtown Eureka, right on Highway 101. It grows its own indoor flower, makes its own bubble hash, cooks its own maple edibles, and sells all of it over one counter alongside a wider menu of outside brands.
The flower turns over weekly. The Fresh Drop Friday release for September 18, 2026, was Strawberry Pop and Tire Fire OG.
A microbusiness on 4th Street
The company behind the counter is Mheka, LLC, doing business as Moca Humboldt. It holds California commercial microbusiness license C12-0000284-LIC for adult-use and medicinal retail in Humboldt County, and the state shows it active. The menu runs under the banner MOCA Humboldt | Modern Cannabis.
Matt Engel owns the business, according to its listing with the Humboldt-Del Norte Film Commission. That listing pitches the building as a boutique indoor cannabis tour and retail experience. Productions can book the space after hours, with a secured garage and private entry for shoots that need to stay quiet.
On its Weedmaps listing, MOCA calls itself a small-batch producer making soil-grown indoor cannabis, solventless extracts and hand-crafted confections. Every MOCA product is made in-house.
MOCA Flowers and the Friday drop
MOCA Flowers is the house-grown indoor line, and Fresh Drop Friday is how it reaches the shelf. Each week the shop releases a fresh indoor strain, tagged with its batch number. The September 18, 2026 pair carried batches F0326 for Tire Fire OG and F0327 for Strawberry Pop. Email subscribers hear about each drop first.
The September 2026 menu lists MOCA Flowers in four formats. An eighth runs $37 in a jar or $32 in a Mylar bag, a quarter-ounce bag of smalls runs $58, and a half-ounce jar runs $115. Strawberry Pop, Tire Fire OG, Peach Tree, Grape Cookies and Sherbanger 22 made the list. Mondays take 15% off MOCA eighths.
Basic Bud is the second flower label, and the tagline says it plainly: Basically... Just Buds. The shop sends buyers to its online menu for the strain options.
The house lines travel beyond 4th Street. MOCA's site keeps a finder for the retail partner dispensaries in California that stock its products, alongside the showroom's own online ordering.
Basic Bubble and the Maple Melt
Basic Bubble is MOCA's in-house bubble hash brand, pitched as taking it back to the basics. The September 2026 menu carried a 1-gram Red Label Durban OG.
MOCA Kitchen handles the edibles, made from cannabis the company grows itself in Humboldt County. The Maple Melt is the kitchen's lead product, a three-ingredient candy built from certified organic Grade A maple syrup, MOCA's own cold water hash and a trace of coconut oil. The kitchen calls it a classic East Coast treat with a California twist. Each package holds ten pieces and 100 mg in total.
Golden Bears at the State Fair
MOCA cleaned up at the first California State Fair Cannabis Awards in 2022. Indoor Wookies took gold in THCa and a Best of California Golden Bear. Indoor Grape Cookies took gold in CBGa with a second Golden Bear, plus gold in ocimene. ZOG added silver in caryophyllene.
The shop came back in 2023 with another Golden Bear, this time for Caffeine in indoor limonene. Zkittlez won gold in caryophyllene and Super Lemon Mac won gold in terpinolene. Silver went to Grape Cookies in CBGa, Apples & Bananas in myrcene and Caffeine in total terpene content. Grape Cookies is still on the house flower menu in 2026.
What else sits in the showroom
The house lines share the counter with outside brands. Mendocino County's Eighth Brother supplies moon rocks in Super Lemon Haze, Legend OG and Kush Mintz, plus shake by the ounce. The concentrate case carries live rosin from Humboldt Terp Council, whipped live rosin from Ahti Hash, live rosin from Pistol Whip, temple balls from Hashtag, and badder from ABX and Greenline.
Seed packs come from DNA Genetics and Grams to Pounds. The category list runs from vape pens, drinks and topicals to glass, gear, non-infused treats and gift cards.
Delivery from Trinidad to Fortuna
MOCA delivers every day. Its zones cover Eureka, McKinleyville-Fortuna and Trinidad-Scotia, and the delivery window runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Weedmaps lists a $75 minimum for delivery orders.
Pickup orders go through shop.mocahumboldt.com, the same menu that posts each Friday drop. In September 2026, the license was active and Strawberry Pop and Tire Fire OG were the latest jars on the shelf.
