West Coast Cure, commonly WCC, is a California cannabis brand founded in 2010 by brothers Jerett and Logan Wasserman. It grew out of the Prop 215 era into a catalog spanning flower, joints, infused flower, vapes, solventless and BHO concentrates and gummies, and operates under California license C11-0001932-LIC.
Founders and origin
The brothers started the company in their father's backyard, with Logan putting his life savings behind Jerett's cultivation and selection work. WCC built relationships with California growers and became known for strain hunting and hash. The company describes itself as one of the last brands still standing from the Prop 215 period.
Products
Solventless concentrates run through the Bhomb line — Dino Eggz, Sunny Side Up and Cold Cure Badder — plus graded Tier 1 through Tier 4 cold cure badder and jam, live rosin diamonds and fresh press. BHO concentrates cover live resin diamonds, sauce, sugar, badder and wet badder. Flower is sold as Bhomb Headstash, Top Shelf Indoor and Premium, with Diamond Infused premium flower alongside it. Joints come as singles, variety packs and six- and ten-pack minis, with Jefferey infused joints as the infused format. Vapes span Premium THC, Live Resin and Live Rosin 510 cartridges, CUREbar 1.0, 2.0 and Flip devices, and CUREpen and CUREpen Pro batteries. Edibles are Nite Caps and flavored solventless gummies.
Culture and sourcing
The company's slogan is "Fire In, Fire Out," its shorthand for the position that concentrate quality begins with the raw flower going into the wash. Its marketing centers legacy farmers, phenotype selection, budtender events, festivals and California music culture.
Competition history
West Coast Cure took first place at the 2012 High Times Cannabis Cup for its Hardcore OG Cake Badder concentrate.
Recall history
The California Department of Cannabis Control issued a mandatory recall of West Coast Cure CUREpen vape cartridges on July 2, 2024 for Category I pesticide contamination with chlorfenapyr. The notice names Shield Management Group, LLC, license CDPH-10003818, as the manufacturer of the recalled product. On October 7, 2024 the company announced a voluntary recall covering 21 unique product identifiers, offered refunds at the point of purchase, and stated that the action was not an admission of any wrongdoing.
