Who Makes It
Punch Edibles & Extracts began in 2013 as a Proposition 215 operator in California, founded by Andrew and Samantha O'Donnell and based in the West Hills area of Los Angeles. It entered the adult-use market in 2018 once Los Angeles licensing opened, and has since extended distribution into Oklahoma and New York as a self-funded operator. Punch grades its rosin across four tiers, a structure the company publishes itself.
Numbers, No Pedigree
There is no cultivar record behind this name. What exists in its place is a single batch panel: one lot of material, measured once.
A cannabinoid or terpene number means something only when it is attached to the laboratory that produced it and the date it was run, and neither is recorded against this panel. Without that pairing the figures settle nothing.
A percentage printed without provenance also tends to read as a property of the plant when it is a property of one jar on one day. That is the more damaging half of the problem: a lone percentage invites a conclusion about the cultivar that one lot on one day cannot support.
How It Is Made
Rosin is pressed with heat and pressure and no hydrocarbon solvent. Hash rosin uses ice-water hash as its input rather than whole flower: resin separated with ice and water, dried, then pressed.
The label reads rosin rather than live rosin, so fresh-frozen starting material is not claimed here. Texture is decided after the press, and colour is not a grade.
Serving temperature is worth a thought whichever lot you have. Limonene is heat-sensitive enough that how hot a jar is run materially changes what reaches you, and that holds whatever the panel on a given batch happens to say.
What It Left Behind
No competition placement stands against this name, and no breeder claims it. What the record amounts to is a Punch press of material whose plant of origin was never written down.
