Kush Cake is the Jungle Boys release of LA Kush Cake, the Seed Junky Genetics hybrid of Kush Mints × Wedding Cake. Jungle Boys grows it in-house and sells it as flower under the LA Kush Cake name. Eighths turn up at its Deerfield Beach store in Florida.
The cross made its name early. In 2019, LA Kush Cake took first place in the Personal Use Flower category at the Emerald Cup.
Seed Junky stacked two Animal Mints lines
Seed Junky Genetics, the breeding outfit founded by JBeezy, made LA Kush Cake by crossing two of its own dessert-era hits. Seedfinder lists the parents as Wedding Cake and Kush Mints, and notes the cross was never released as feminized seed.
Both parents trace back to Animal Mints. Wedding Cake is Triangle Kush × Animal Mints, and Kush Mints is Bubba Kush × Animal Mints. That doubles up the Cookies side of the family while bringing in two separate Kush branches.

The 2019 Emerald Cup win and later crosses
At the 2019 Emerald Cup, the Personal Use Flower category went to LA Kush Cake entered by Paula Jobe-Hudgens of Nevada County. "Skunky" Cookies from Jon "Texas" Kelley placed second, and Blackjack from Debbie Perticara of Humboldt placed third.
Since then, LA Kush Cake has become breeding stock in its own right. Seedfinder documents 64 direct hybrids, among them Apollo Punch, Baked Alaska and Bat Cake OG. Leafly adds Coconut Cream and Cherry Crisp to the list of children.
