Papaya Lato is a hash rosin from Punch Extracts, the solventless arm of the California company that launched Punch Edibles in 2013. Mainstage in Sacramento has listed it as a Tier 2 hash rosin in a 1g jar at 71.44% THC and 0.3% CBD, priced at $65.
Where Tier 2 sits on the Punch ladder
Punch sells its small-batch rosin in four numbered tiers, and Mainstage's menu shows how they price out. Tier 1 jars such as Tropicanna Zkittlez ran $80, Tier 3 jars such as Grease Monkey and Watermelon Papaya ran $50, and Tier 4 jars such as Wedding Walker ran $40.
At $65, Papaya Lato shared its tier and price with Punch's GMO hash rosin, listed at 73.29% THC. Other Punch jars on the same menu tested between 74% and 78.49% THC, so tier placement tracks more than potency alone.
Some Punch drops also carry Silver Tier or Gold Tier labels outside the numbered scale, according to the brand's Weedmaps catalog.
Fresh frozen flower, ice and water
The Punch Extracts site promises no cutting agents or additives. Its live rosin starts as fresh frozen flower, which the company favors because many terpenes boil off at room temperature. That material is washed into hash with ultra-purified ice and water, then pressed through a fine mesh.
Punch says the work happens in a climate-controlled room, which it credits with holding on to taste and producing a contaminant-free product. The finished rosin comes as fresh press or cold cure badder, and some drops land as half-and-half jars that pair the two.
How heat and pressure turn hash into rosin
Rosin is pressed, not washed with chemical solvents. Plant material or hash goes between heated plates and gets squeezed until the oil runs out. The same basic technique was first used to make rosin for violin bows, which is where the concentrate gets its name.

Hash rosin, the Papaya Lato format, can run more potent depending on the hash that goes in. Fresh off the press it is hot and drippy, then firms into something soft, creamy or honey-like as it cools.

Papaya shows up all over the Punch catalog. Weedmaps lists Mattole's Purple Papaya as a Tier 1 cold cure badder, alongside Tier 4 jars such as Melted Papaya, Moroccan Papaya and Moroccan Peach Papaya.
The brand's published CA Rosin Drop List tracks solventless stock store by store, from Sacramento and Fresno to Los Angeles and San Diego. Its August–September 2026 entries include Poochies Papaya at Tier 2, plus Super Papaya, Sour Papaya, Dulce De Papaya and Cranberry Papayaz at Tier 4.
From chocolate bars to solventless jars
Punch started with edibles. In 2013 the company set out to make a sensibly sized, high-dose edible with consistent quality, and it now runs six chocolate bar lines totaling 30 varieties. Gummies, vapes and Rocket and Stingers pre-rolls followed, all lab tested, and the products reach hundreds of dispensaries across California.
Punch Extracts splits its own menu into solventless, vape, distillate and Rocket. The Punch Edibles & Extracts family also includes Tempo and Dr. Norm's, and the company has expanded into Oklahoma and New York.
