Lucky Leaf Expo brings its cannabis business convention to the Greater Richmond Convention Center on Thursday, March 25 and Friday, March 26, 2027. The show runs 10:00 AM–5:00 PM on Thursday and 10:00 AM–3:00 PM on Friday, with a paid Pre-Show Crash Course ahead of the expo.

Why Richmond, why now
Lucky Leaf frames the Richmond show around a market in motion. The organizer says Virginia's cannabis industry is on the brink of major change, with new leadership poised to move toward a regulated adult-use market.
According to Lucky Leaf, the state is preparing to issue up to roughly 400 retail licenses, 450 cultivation licenses and 60 manufacturing licenses once that framework is enacted. For anyone hoping to hold one of those licenses, or to sell services to the people who will, the expo is an early look at who's already building in Virginia.
Who the expo is for
Lucky Leaf describes its shows as predominantly business-to-business cannabis conventions, though some consumers attend. The organizer expects growers, processors, manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, accountants, attorneys, marketers, journalists and executives on site.
That range is the point. A would-be retailer can compare suppliers and professional services under one roof, and a manufacturer can meet wholesalers and retailers without booking a dozen separate calls.
On the floor
The organizer advertises more than 100 exhibitors and more than 30 educational sessions and live demos across the two days. Thursday is the longer day, which makes it the better pick for a first full lap of the floor. Friday wraps at 3:00 PM, so plan the meetings you care about most for earlier in the day.
Pre-Show Crash Course
Before the expo opens, Lucky Leaf runs its Pre-Show Crash Course, an intensive, day-long workshop sold as a separate $299 early bird ticket. The organizer says it gives in-depth training on the cannabis supply chain for people launching or growing a cannabis career.
Expert cannabis professionals lead the day, covering market demand and revenue growth opportunities from seed to sale and everything in between. It's a practical on-ramp for newcomers who want the full picture before they talk to vendors on the floor.

Lucky Leaf hits the Midwest a month earlier at Lucky Leaf Expo Minneapolis on February 26–27 and heads to Pennsylvania in August for Lucky Leaf Expo Philadelphia.
