BREAL.TV is the news, music and culture network of B-Real, the Cypress Hill frontman who also goes by Dr. Greenthumb. It streams live Monday through Friday at 2 p.m. Pacific and runs The Dr. Greenthumb Show, The Smokebox and High & Hungry.
The Dr. Greenthumb Podcast, its daily audio feed, has passed 1,000 episodes since 2017. In March 2026 the site premiered Cypress Hill's "Wacha Trucha," the first single from an all-Spanish album.
B-Real and the Dr. Greenthumb name
B-Real, born Louis Mario Freese in Los Angeles in 1970, has been a lead rapper in Cypress Hill since the group's 1991 debut. Black Sunday reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 1993, and from 2016 to 2019 he also rapped in Prophets of Rage.
Dr. Greenthumb is his grower alter ego. The media side began in 2004 with B-Real's Smokebox, which the Dr. Greenthumb's company timeline credits as an early cannabis-focused media platform.
The Dr. Greenthumb Show
The flagship puts B-Real across the table from guests in music, sports, film and cannabis. The 2020 season opened on January 15 with actor Robert Ri'chard and went on to Ricky Williams, Tommy Chong, David Faustino and Aaron of DNA Genetics.
The show has hosted Wiz Khalifa, whose brand is Khalifa Kush, across a four-part interview. Episode 979 went backstage on tour with Berner, founder of Cookies.
The Smokebox and High & Hungry
The Smokebox is the interview format that started it all. Each session brings in a celebrity guest, closes the box and talks cannabis, music and whatever else comes up. The members site keeps an archive that reaches back to a 2013 visit from Slipknot's Sid Wilson.
High & Hungry takes the crew out of the studio to eat, and it sits beside the other two shows on the members site.
Daily podcasts on Spreaker and Apple
The Dr. Greenthumb Podcast finds B-Real and the squad talking news, music and current events. It updates daily, and Apple Podcasts lists more than 1,000 episodes.
The Smokebox Podcast carries the celebrity sessions in audio. Both shows distribute through Spreaker, with embedded players on the site's Listen page.
A Cypress Hill news desk
The site's news section tracks the band closely. It marked 29 years of Cypress Hill III: Temples of Boom in October 2024 and announced the O Canadabis 2025 Canadian tour in April 2025.
Summer 2025 brought a California State Fair show and "Street X Street," a release for LAFC with Sia and DJ Flict. The March 6, 2026 post on "Wacha Trucha" with Alemán opened the all-Spanish album cycle.
Dispensaries under the same name
B-Real's cannabis company, Dr. Greenthumb's, grows the same name into retail. Its timeline marks 2015 for Insane OG, his signature strain, and 2018 for the first licensed dispensary in Sylmar, California.
It expanded across California in 2020, then opened a Chicago flagship and a nationwide licensing program in 2024. The network and the company share a founder, a name and an audience.
Members site, merch and live streams
A members site hosts the show archives, community groups and members-only merch, and a separate store sells branded apparel and accessories. An events calendar sits on the main site.
BREAL.TV also runs Discord and Twitch alongside its YouTube channel, and readers can subscribe for article updates by email.
