The Pineapple Bong XL is the oversized end of HEMPER's novelty glass — a globe-shaped chamber with an inner pineapple downstem and splash guard suspended in the middle of it. It runs two percolators rather than one, and sells for $79.99.
Two stages of filtration
Smoke enters through a showerhead perc, which pushes it out of a ring of slits and breaks it into a first round of bubbles. Those bubbles rise into a honeycomb perc — a flat disc drilled with dozens of small holes — and get split again on the way through.
Each pass strips more heat, because heat leaves smoke wherever it touches water. A single-perc piece does this once. Running showerhead into honeycomb does it twice, which is why a two-stage bong pulls noticeably softer than a one-stage bong of the same height.
The globe chamber and the floating downstem
The globe holds a deep, round pool of water and gives the rising bubbles room to spread instead of climbing a narrow column. The pineapple-shaped downstem sits inside that space, doubling as the splash guard that keeps water out of the neck when you pull hard.
That matters on an XL piece. Bigger chambers mean bigger draws, and bigger draws are exactly when water gets dragged up toward the mouthpiece.
Who it's for
This is a centrepiece rather than a travel piece — a bong for a table where it can stay set up, aimed at someone who wants the smoothest pull in the range and does not mind that the shape is the loudest thing in the room.

Keeping it clean
Percolated glass holds resin in places a paper towel will never reach. Dump and refill the water after every couple of sessions, and give the chamber a proper soak in isopropyl and coarse salt once a week. Plug the joint and mouthpiece, shake it in short bursts rather than one long rattle, and rinse with warm — not hot — water so the glass never takes a thermal shock.
