Ice Cream Mintz is Seed Junky Genetics' cross of Ice Cream Cake into Kush Mints — an in-house pairing of two of the breeder's own lineages, and one that other programs have since built on more than almost anything else in the catalog.
Where It Comes From
Seed Junky bred Ice Cream Mintz by crossing two of its own lines rather than reaching outside the family. Ice Cream Cake carries Wedding Cake and Gelato #33 further back in the pedigree; Kush Mints has become one of the most-used building blocks in modern hybrid breeding.
Most menus run it as Ice Cream Mintz, though Ice Cream Mints and Cream Mintz turn up on labels too. Same plant, different sticker.
Dessert-and-mint names get recycled hard across this market, so confirm the Seed Junky lineage before assuming two jars labelled "ice cream mints" are related at all. A separate, unrelated version exists from other growers working off 33 Flavors and Larrycake.
What It Became
The pairing worked well enough that Ice Cream Mintz has since become a parent in its own right, fathering more than a dozen further crosses — including pairings with Runtz and Jealousy out of other breeding programs.
That is the real measure of the plant. Plenty of cuts sell well for a season; comparatively few get picked up by rival breeders as raw material. Being used is a harder credential to fake than being stocked.
How It Shows Up
Flower runs dense and compact — golf-ball-tight buds, pale green under orange pistils, streaked with purple and coated heavy in trichomes. The structure holds tight enough that curing is where a good jar separates from an average one.

Ice Cream Mintz earns its standing on what other breeders did with it, not on what the label promises. Seed Junky built something the rest of the industry kept coming back to, and a decade into the dessert era that is a more durable argument than any single drop.
