Kiwi Sorbet is a hybrid bred and grown by Maven Genetics, a producer founded to breed and cultivate premium indoor cannabis. Maven built the cultivar from two lines already in its own program, Blueberry Zkz and Sherb Mints, and sells it as indoor flower, prerolls, vape cartridges and live resin diamonds.
Its biggest mark came after release. Maven went back to Kiwi Sorbet as a parent, using it to make both Goji Berry Runtz and Paradiso.
Blueberry Zkz meets Sherb Mints
Maven describes Kiwi Sorbet as a cross of its own Blueberry Zkz and Sherb Mints. Both parents came out of the same house, so the full cross stayed inside one breeding operation from start to finish. Maven says it oversees every stage of production, and the company points to more than two decades of cultivation experience behind its strains.
On Weedmaps, Maven classifies Kiwi Sorbet as a balanced hybrid. The finished flower is dense, frosty and colorful. Maven pitches it as a strain for any time of day, with an uplifting, euphoric and long-lasting high that settles into an even body feel.
The brand leans on the fruit in the name. Maven sums up the flavor as tangy, tart kiwi and fresh berries layered over sweet cream.
From indoor flower to live resin diamonds
Kiwi Sorbet moves through most of Maven's product line. San Francisco delivery service Flower Company has carried it as indoor eighths and as 5-pack prerolls. The same cultivar also turns up on Maven's vape and concentrate menus in two very different formats.
The Kiwi Sorbet Gold Blend cartridge holds 1 gram of oil. Maven says the Gold Blend line uses only cannabis-derived terpenes taken from its indoor flower. Those terpenes are pulled with subcritical liquid carbon dioxide, and the brand adds no artificial ingredients or harsh solvents to the finished cartridge.
The live resin diamonds go a different route. Maven sells them in 1-gram jars of crystallized THCA diamonds grown out of a terpene-rich live resin sauce. The brand says Blueberry Zkz and Sherb Mints were chosen partly for how well they perform in extraction and for the quality of their resin.
Goji Berry Runtz and the Runtz connection
Maven's first well-known Kiwi Sorbet offspring is Goji Berry Runtz. The breeder crossed Kiwi Sorbet with Runtz, the Cookies Fam cross of Zkittlez and Gelato that Leafly named its Strain of the Year in 2020. The result is a tropical hybrid that Leafly says often reaches 30% THC.
Maven describes Goji Berry Runtz as sparkling buds and positions it as a well-rounded daytime hybrid. The pairing kept Kiwi Sorbet's fruit-first direction and added the Zkittlez-and-Gelato backbone that Runtz carries.
Paradiso pairs it with Golden Applez
Kiwi Sorbet also anchors Paradiso, a Maven Genetics seed release. Paradiso crosses Kiwi Sorbet with Golden Applez, which itself comes from Golden Hour and Fried Applez. Maven sells Paradiso as regular seeds, meaning a pack produces both male and female plants.
Paradiso finishes in 56–63 days of flower. The plants grow vigorous and upright, reaching medium to tall height, and stack dense flowers under thick layers of trichomes. The line suits both indoor and outdoor gardens, and it balances flavor, yield and ease of growing for a range of skill levels.
Between Goji Berry Runtz and Paradiso, Kiwi Sorbet now sits two generations deep in Maven's catalog. It started as a pairing of two house lines and has since become breeding stock for the brand's next round of fruit-forward crosses.
