Truffle Sundae

Type: hybrid

Truffle Sundae is Trichome Jungle Seeds' cross of a Chocolate Kush line into a Gelato 41 cut — a dessert-leaning hybrid balanced close to dead centre on paper, and one of the few plants in the cocoa lane with a documented breeder behind it.

Where It Comes From

Trichome Jungle Seeds built the cross to sit evenly between its two sides rather than collapse into either. It also circulates as Truffle Sunday, and the split spelling shows up across seed banks and dispensary menus alike, so search both if you are digging for grow notes or lab results on a specific batch.

That naming drift is worth taking seriously here. Two listings a letter apart can be the same plant or two different gardens' work, and on a cross this young the label does less identifying than the farm does.

The Cross

Gelato 41 is the half worth knowing cold. It is a Sherbinskis-and-Cookie-Fam selection out of Sunset Sherbet crossed with Thin Mint GSC — the same plant that gave the whole Gelato line its structure and resin. Truffle Sundae inherits that backbone directly, and it is the more predictable half of the pedigree.

Chocolate Kush is the harder half to pin down. The name gets applied to more than one plant, with separate lines running back to Afghani x Chocolate Thai or to a Mazar-leaning indica cut, so it functions more as a lane than as one fixed genome.

That ambiguity is the practical reason two jars of Truffle Sundae from different gardens can behave differently under the same label. Buds run dense and resin-heavy, deep green shading into purple with bright orange pistils under a trichome coat thick enough to look frosted.

The High Rise Take

The Gelato 41 half does the real work holding this plant together, and it is the reason the cross lands at all. If you want the cleaner, more predictable version of that profile, Gelato 41 itself is the safer buy. If you want the chocolate lane specifically, this is one of the few entries in it with a breeder you can actually name — and on a cross with a contested parent, that is the whole value.
