Wizard Fuel is Wizard Trees' collaboration with Burning Rope Pharms: Rope Fuel crossed to RS-11. It is the gas half of the modern Los Angeles catalog meeting the fruit half, diesel and OG earth on one side, tropical sherbet and guava on the other. The reported arc runs euphoric first, then physically heavy.
Where It Comes From
This cross has a backstory most collaborations do not. Burning Rope Pharms traces to Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley, where its founder ran OG Kush cuts through backyard tents and garage rooms between roughly 2012 and 2015. Friends started calling the flower "burning rope" for its rubbery diesel reek, and in 2016 the nickname became the brand.
The Wizard Trees link is personal rather than transactional. Scott of Wizard Trees learned indoor cultivation from Burning Rope years earlier, and the two paired up in 2023 to cross Rope Fuel with RS-11. Wizard Fuel is what came out of it, a full-circle collaboration that the timeline actually supports.
Timing mattered too. The release landed as the market rotated back toward fuel after several seasons of candy and dessert dominating menus, which gave a gas-forward RS cross an opening it would not have had a few years earlier.
The Cross
Wizard Trees carries breeder and brand credit, with Burning Rope Pharms as the collaborating source of the Rope Fuel side. The direct cross is Rope Fuel x RS-11.
RS-11 is the better-documented parent. Deo Farms in Oakland bred Rainbow Sherbert #11 by crossing a Pink Guava selection to a Sunset Sherbet, and Wizard Trees is the LA brand that selected and popularized it alongside sibling RS-54. That side supplies fruit, cream, citrus, color and resin.
Rope Fuel is thinner on documentation. It is listed as OG Kush crossed with an unknown strain, and it is Burning Rope's flagship release. Diesel, earth, pepper and pine come from that half, and the brand's whole identity is built on it.
Growing specs put the seed release near nine weeks indoors, with resin quality described as well suited to extraction. Flower is commonly presented as dense, colorful and heavily resinous, green and purple surfaces with orange pistils, though those traits fit the modern RS family broadly and are not unique to this cross.
Potency figures quoted on menus and seed listings run wide, and every one of them is a batch result from a specific room and a specific lab. None is a property of the cultivar. A measured amount fits music, a movie or a low-pressure evening; more than that lands at the end of the night.
What It Left Behind
Wizard Fuel's footprint is collaborative rather than ceremonial. It is the release that formalized a decade-old mentorship between a San Fernando Valley diesel grower and one of Los Angeles' most visible exotic brands, and it gave the RS line a credible gas expression instead of another dessert variation. No competition placement attaches to it.
