binske is a Colorado cannabis brand that Jake Pasternack founded in 2015 with his brother Alex. The brand belongs to Praetorian Global, the company Jake set up as its founder, chairman and CEO. The catalog spans flower, pre-rolls, live resin, live hash rosin, vapes, chocolate bars and fruit gummies, all under a lowercase name and art-led packaging.
The dispensary finder lists 447 licensed retailers across Colorado, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and Washington. Headset tracked binske in 294 dispensaries in August 2026.
A brand house with no grow license
The Pasternacks are Miami-born, and Jake came to cannabis from the entertainment industry. He built binske around intellectual property instead of hard assets. In February 2022 he described the company as a brand MSO that owned no licenses in any state, licensed its IP to local partners and made every deal exclusive by territory. Alex served as binske's executive vice president.
The deals stacked up fast. MariMed, the Massachusetts operator behind Betty's Eddies, signed in July 2019 to make and sell binske concentrates, edibles, vapes and topicals in Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware and Maine. Michigan cultivator Six Labs became the 18th licensing partner in June 2021, in a deal the companies valued at more than $55 million in estimated retail sales.
Trulieve, Pleasantrees and the state partners
Florida runs through Trulieve. In December 2019 Trulieve debuted binske olive oil tinctures across its Florida dispensaries at 300mg, a Florida-only strength, made with cold-pressed olive oil from an organic orchard near Santa Barbara. In April 2026 binske spotlighted Trulieve's Daytona Beach store on West International Speedway Boulevard, which carries binske flower, concentrates, vapes and edibles.
On August 22, 2024, Praetorian signed Pleasantrees for Michigan. The vertically integrated operator runs five stores, in Hamtramck, Houghton Lake, East Lansing, Lincoln Park and Mount Clemens, and grows and processes in Harrison Township. Edibles, concentrates and vapes came first in late 2024, with flower to follow, and binske counted eight U.S. states at the time.
In Chicago, binske featured Village Dispensary in Bucktown in April 2026. The shop fills a former city emissions testing site, and its roots connect to Viola, the company former NBA player Al Harrington founded in 2011 and named after his grandmother.
The ONI Seed Co. library
The genetics bench deepened on March 15, 2022, when Praetorian announced a deal to acquire the intellectual property of ONI Seed Co. Nicholas Handler and Zachary "Doc" Victor founded ONI in 2016 and built a library of more than 300 genetics, including Trop Punch, Tropicana Cookies, Papaya, Wilson! Zero, Strawpicanna, Honey Bunny and Zahiti Lime. Handler joined as director of genetics and breeding and Victor as director of cultivation.
The binske genetics page keeps an active roster. Double Baked Cake, Garlic Cocktail, Octane Mint Sherbert and V8 Venom sit on the indica side, and Jungle Pie, Lemonberry Parfait and Zen Crusher run as hybrids. Bermuda Punch, Cat Cay, Lemon Pepper and Lemonberry Stomper fill out the sativas. By August 2024, Praetorian listed binske and ONI as its two brands.
Pure Nacional cacao and a Bourdain detour
The chocolate has a travel story. The About page traces it to an episode of Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown in which Bourdain finds a thought-to-be-extinct white cacao bean in Peru. That sent the binske family on a pilgrimage to the Peruvian jungle. The bars start with Peruvian Pure Nacional cacao, an heirloom variety, in dark chocolate Espresso and Sea Salt and milk chocolate Hazelnut and Clasico.
The art comes from a collaboration with UK artist Martin O'Neill, whose binske murals draw on the four elements of earth, air, water and fire. The fruit gummies use fruit pectin instead of gelatin and ship in resealable mylar bags, at 10mg per piece in most markets and 20mg in Michigan. Formulas include THC-only, 1:1 THC and CBD, THC with CBN, and THC with CBG and CBC.
Flower, extracts and hemp seltzers

- Concentrates: 1g live resin and 1g live hash rosin.
- Vapes: 1g live resin all-in-ones and carts, plus 0.5g live hash rosin carts.
Outside the dispensary, shopbinske.com sells hemp-derived THC seltzers, iced teas and cocktails, each under 0.3% delta-9 THC under the 2018 farm bill.
Where binske stands in 2026
Headset's August 2026 data splits binske sales 41.4% flower, 25.2% pre-rolls, 22.4% vapor pens, 6% edibles and 5% concentrates, across 294 SKUs at an average price of $29. Colorado is the deepest market at 150 stores, led by Denver, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Boulder and Longmont. Overall sales ran 29.8% below August 2025.
In Colorado, Headset ranks binske No. 24 in edibles, No. 26 in pre-rolls and No. 33 in vapor pens, a category where Spherex, Batch Extracts, PAX and Jetty Extracts hold the top four spots. It also ranks No. 72 in New Jersey flower, No. 79 in Illinois flower and No. 81 in Michigan concentrates. Tangerine Twist bulk flower, Mango Gummies 10-packs and the Bubble Punch live resin cartridge led its August sales.
