At a glance
Pacific Stone is a family-owned California cannabis brand built around large-scale greenhouse cultivation in Carpinteria, Santa Barbara County. Founded in 2015, it controls growing, curing, trimming, and product assembly in-house and uses that operational scale to compete on value across flower, pre-rolls, blunts, and infused formats.
Origins and founder record
The official history says friends and family from California's 805 region founded the company in 2015 and brought six generations of Dutch greenhouse experience. Those dated attributions are preserved rather than forced into one unsupported founder story.
Carpinteria greenhouse operation
Pacific Stone grows on California's Central Coast using purpose-built greenhouses that combine natural light with environmental controls. Its official cultivation account describes roughly twenty acres, on-site clone propagation, about a week of hang drying, multiweek curing in controlled rooms, dry trimming, and hand finishing. The system is designed for repeatable, high-volume production rather than tiny indoor batches.
Water, inputs, and waste practices
The company says a closed-loop irrigation system recaptures tailwater and reduces water and fertilizer use by half. Spent coconut-husk growing medium goes to nearby avocado orchards as mulch, beneficial insects support pest management, and carbon dioxide captured from a greenhouse boiler is routed back to plants.
Flower and strain catalog
Flower is sold from single grams through full ounces. The current menu includes Blue Dream, Purple Tangie, Strawberry Cough, 805 Glue, Cereal Milk, Gelato, Kush Mints, GMO, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Permanent Marker, Private Reserve OG, and Wedding Cake. Selection and package sizes can change, so a licensed menu and batch label are the current source of truth.
Pre-rolls, Slims, and blunts
The pre-roll range includes two-packs, three-gram variety packs, and 14-count tins made from greenhouse flower rather than shake or trim, according to the company. Slims and Slims Light use a 20-count format. Hemp-wrapped blunts use glass tips and appear as an all-flower 3.5-gram two-pack plus hash- or diamond-infused two-gram singles.
Infused products and roll-your-own
Diamond-infused pre-rolls combine the company's greenhouse flower with THCa diamonds extracted from that flower; hash-infused versions use solventless live bubble hash. Both appear in two- and seven-count packs. Pacific Stone also sells 14-gram Sugar Shake for roll-your-own use, extending the same value strategy to a loose-flower format.
Leadership and operating evolution
Leadership references have changed over time. The Santa Barbara Independent identified Skip Motsenbocker as CEO in 2022, while Nabis named Mike Palmer founder and CEO in 2026 and quoted vice president of marketing Colin Graham. That sequence may reflect an executive transition, but no primary announcement confirming the change was located.
