Who Makes It
Society C is a Michigan brand that launched in 2019 under parent company Natrabis, founded by Nick Simpson, Ben Puraj, and Michael Thomas — all of whom came up through Michigan's caregiver market. In 2021 they opened a 54,000-square-foot cultivation facility in Orion Township running nine flowering rooms. Their solventless line is made with ice, water, heat, and pressure only, pressed from single-sourced flower.
How It's Made
Live hash rosin badder is a three-part build: ice-water hash washed from fresh-frozen material, pressed with heat and pressure into rosin, then agitated through a cold cure until it sets opaque and spreadable. No hydrocarbon solvent touches any stage. "Live" means the flower was frozen at or near harvest rather than dried and cured first.
The Cup Run
The credential is specific: 3rd place, Adult Use Non-Solvent Concentrates, at the 2023 High Times Cannabis Cup Michigan, People's Choice edition, for Society C's Pastries Live Rosin. The same brand took 1st in Adult Use Indica Flower that year for Spritzer, and returned in 2024 with a 3rd in Indica Flower and a 2nd in Non-Distillate Vapes.
