Animal Face is a Seed Junky Genetics cross of Face Off OG × Animal Mints, hunted from seed and grown by Fig Farms. It took first place in indoor flower at the 18th annual Emerald Cup in 2022.
A year later it won the hybrid category at the 2023 High Times SoCal Cannabis Cup, giving Fig Farms back-to-back titles with the same cut.
A Prop 215-era hunt for Face Off OG traits
Fig Farms found Animal Face during a pheno hunt in the Prop 215 era. The team picked the keeper for how closely it resembled Face Off OG, and the farm describes the result as a heavy-duty cut with old-school OG genetics.
Keith and Chloe Healy, legacy farmers and breeders, founded Fig Farms in 2016. The owner-operated company is based in Oakland and runs licensed cultivation in California and Illinois, with a catalog built around its own seed hunts.
Archive's Face Off OG and the Animal Mints cross

From the Montalbán stage to the SoCal Cup
The 18th Emerald Cup awards took place on May 14, 2022, at the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre in Hollywood. Fig Farms swept three indoor flower spots: Animal Face in first, Blue Face in third and Holy Moly! in fifth.
Holy Moly!, made by hitting Banana Fig with Animal Mints pollen, also won the Indoor Flower Breeder's Cup. Keith Healy thanked the judges for recognizing the farm's "obsessive perfectionism in the garden."
At the 2023 High Times SoCal Cannabis Cup, Animal Face won the hybrid category and Blue Face took the indica title. Fig Farms won two of the three flower categories it entered, its first Cannabis Cup run since a 2017 win. Blue Face arrived fresh off top indoor flower honors at the 2023 Emerald Cup.
Gas, kiwi and big, dense OG buds
