Kookie Dough is a hybrid from Bosky Genetics, the California breeder and indoor grower. It crosses Kookieland, a Bosky cultivar the team has worked since 2015, with Gelato #33.
Bosky calls it one of the team's favorites. The plant grows stout and stacks into dense, golf-ball-shaped buds with strong jar presence and a cookie-forward character.
Kookieland, a decade in the making
Kookieland is Bosky's cross of Dosidos and King Kandy, itself a mix of Forum Cookies and Candyland. The King Kandy male was hand-selected from seeds gifted by San Diego's S.D. Cookie Jar, and Leaf Magazine credits the Dosidos side to Archive.
Bosky made the first cross in 2015, took it to F2 in 2018 and has since locked in an F3 at its own facility. The company describes the buds as tight, dense, resin-rich and bright with color, with a hard-hitting high closer to an OG than a modern candy line.
Kookieland is also the parent behind Grip Tape, Bosky's cross with Cherry Gushers. That strain came out of a 2023 pheno hunt, using a Cherry Gushers bag-seed clone from Billionaire Exoticz.
Gelato #33 on the other side
Gelato #33 is a cross of Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint GSC, often shortened to G33 or called Gelato Kush. Leafly describes compact buds with fiery orange hairs and coloring that runs from dark green to purple.
Paired with Kookieland, it pushes Kookie Dough toward the classic cookie family while keeping Bosky's gas. Bosky sums up the flavor as doughy, gassy, savory and sweet, with a fresh-baked richness that recalls Girl Scout Cookies.
The cross also brings two cookie lines back together. Dosidos and Forum Cookies sit on the Kookieland side, and Thin Mint GSC sits behind Gelato #33.
Ryan Clark and a Central Valley grow
Bosky's head cultivator and creator is Ryan Clark, who has more than 20 years of cultivation experience and previously ran an indoor facility in the Central Valley. His wife, Jenn Clark, co-founded the company and oversees finance and compliance.
Clark spent six years developing Bosky's fertilizer blends before the brand entered the California market in early 2024. The name comes from a 17th-century Middle English adjective for an abundance of trees and shrubs, which Clark ties to a garden of genetics built over time.
Bosky breeds its genetics in-house and grows premium indoor flower. Beyond Kookieland, its lineup includes Dosidos, Doggy Bag (Project 4516 × Zkittlez) and Bones pre-rolls in five flavor families.
From the Bosky menu to the shelf
Bosky featured Kookie Dough in its What U Smokin' On #14 staff picks, calling it a cross that leans into a deeply familiar cookie profile. The company published its full Kookie Dough profile in April 2026.
On Weedmaps, Bosky's Kookie Dough Big Buds eighth lists from $40.59 to $50 across dispensaries. The brand has also expanded into more than 20 STIIIZY stores statewide.
The wider catalog is picking up hardware too. Bosky's Diamond OG took gold for limonene expression in indoor flower at the 2026 California State Fair Cannabis Awards.
