Runtz Pave is a hybrid from Compound Genetics that crosses White Runtz with Pavé, one of the breeder's own house lines. Compound released it in its Pavé collection, and seed shops also list it as Pavé Runtz.
The cross pairs two frost-heavy parents. Pavé takes its name from jewelry set so thick with stones that the metal disappears, and White Runtz earned its name from buds that look white like snow.
White Runtz and the Runtz family
White Runtz is a Gelato and Zkittlez hybrid, the same pairing behind Runtz. The Runtz crew of Ray Bama, grower Nick and Long Beach rapper Yung LB debuted Runtz at the Emerald Cup in Santa Rosa in December 2017.
White Runtz placed third at the 2019 Emerald Cup, and Leafly named Runtz its Strain of the Year in 2020. Leafly lists White Runtz with an 8–9 week flowering time and a medium yield.
Compound has leaned on White Runtz before. Leafly credits it as a parent of Jokerz, the cut behind Compound's Jokerz collections, and of Blue Runtz. Compound also lists Runtz among its brand partners.
Pavé, Paris OG and The Menthol
Pavé is Compound's cross of Paris OG and The Menthol. Leafly describes a white-out trichome blizzard over dense, thick buds and lists THC around 26.8%. Its reviewers call it a strong hitter for experienced smokers.
The line has become a breeding workhorse for Compound. Leafly names Candy Pavé, which pairs Eye Candy with Pavé, and Strawberry Pavé, built on Red Pop. Seed shops also carry Lemon Cherry Pavé from the same program.
Compound kept expanding the family into 2025. Its site highlighted a new Pavé Candy Collection, available through vetted vendors as of December 12, 2025.
A Compound Genetics seed drop
Compound launched in 2017 under the motto Flavors By Design. The company describes growing from a basement breeder into a global brand, and it lists Cookies, Khalifa Kush, Alien Labs, Connected and Cannarado among its partners.
Runtz Pave shipped as feminized seeds in 13-seed packs. Deeply Rooted Seed Bank priced the pack at $400 before it sold out. Seedtopia carried the same pack in Bangkok for ฿12,900, a sign of how far the line has traveled.
The Pavé collection sits alongside other Compound series such as Grape Gasoline, Eye Candy, Jokerz, The Menthol Vol. 2 and La Bomba. Compound has also released limited drops with partners, including a Method Seven x Compound edition.
Vertical Cannabis flower
Finished Runtz Pave flower has reached shelves through Vertical Cannabis, which credits Compound Genetics as the breeder. Vertical lists caryophyllene, limonene and myrcene as the leading terpenes.
Its menu pegs the flavor as plum, mint and vanilla. Shoppers describe relaxed, creative and euphoric effects, and give the flower 4 out of 5 stars across 7 reviews.
One buyer described buds that looked dark on the outside and broke open to deep purple, heavy with trichomes and very sticky. That color and coat fit a cross whose parents are both known for their frost.
