Ube Crème is an indica bred and grown indoors by Maven Genetics, crossing two of the company's own strains, Affogato and Grape Cuvée. It launched as one of five new strains in Maven's Spring 2023 Strain Collection.
Potency is the headline. A Maven eighth listed on Weedmaps tested at 32.2% THC, and Leafly averages the strain at 31% THC. Leafly also names Maven Genetics as the breeder and records the same Affogato × Grape Cuvée cross, and its reviewers praise how smooth it smokes for a high-THC strain.
Affogato, the Purple Chai × Sunset Sherbet parent
Affogato was bred and grown in-house by Maven from Purple Chai and Sunset Sherbet. GrowDiaries files it as an indica-dominant cultivar, with batches reported up to 36% THC and only trace CBD.
The plant builds dense, trichome-stacked calyxes on tight internodes, a structure that reflects careful indoor selection. GrowDiaries adds that the cut responds to meticulous indoor work and rewards a slow cure with a velvety mouthfeel.
Grape Cuvée and the MAC 1 connection
Grape Cuvée is also a Maven creation. Leafly lists it as MAC 1 crossed with Granimals, an indica-dominant plant averaging 30% THC. Weedmaps describes colorful, densely packed buds in bold violet, coated in milky trichomes.
The strain delivers a heavy body feel paired with a mental lift, a split that carries into Ube Crème. Maven brought Grape Cuvée back in the Spring 2023 collection as one of three reimagined strains, alongside Medusa and Sour Sangria.
A spring 2023 debut
Maven built the Spring 2023 Strain Collection around the season of rebirth. The five new releases were Ube Crème, Widows Glaze, Goji Berry Runtz, Paradiso and Honey Lemon Hibiscus. The collection drew on genetics from Seed Junky, Capulator and Compound Genetics.
Maven says it was founded to breed and cultivate premium, exotic indoor cannabis, and it claims more than 20 years of cultivation experience. The company leans on disciplined pheno hunting, precision indoor growing and careful curing, and it sells flower, concentrates, pre-rolls, vapes and seeds.
Deep purple flower, 32% THC and a Gold Blend cart
Ube Crème lives up to the purple in its name. Maven describes deep purple buds with orange pistils under a thick frosting of pearly trichomes. The flower is sold indoor-grown in 3.5-gram jars.
Flower Company lists caryophyllene, linalool and nerolidol as the primary terpenes and rates the strain a 4 on its 1–5 Loudness scale. Leafly files it as a mostly indica-dominant hybrid. On the palate, Maven points to warming spice, bold cacao and a faintly sweet, buttery exhale with a hint of vanilla.
The strain also runs as a 1-gram Ube Crème Gold Blend cartridge. Maven's Gold Blend carts use 100% cannabis-derived oil blended with strain-specific terpenes, made with a subcritical liquid carbon dioxide process and no artificial ingredients.
