Chrome Dome is a sativa bred by Compound Genetics from Lemonheadz and Eye Candy. Los Angeles grower Maven Genetics pheno-hunted the seeds and released its own selection as indoor flower.
Leafly dates the release to 2024. The strain's biggest moment came as half of Halochrome, a Maven pre-roll that wraps Chrome Dome flower with Chroma live rosin, putting a Compound cross and a Maven house cultivar in the same joint.
Lemonheadz meets the Eye Candy line
Eye Candy is the backbone. Compound built it from Biscotti, the Connected and Cookies cultivar, and The Menthol, then used it as the father for an entire seed series.
That Eye Candy line runs to ten crosses. Chrome Dome sits beside Guwop Green, Runtz Carlton, New Money, Bullz Eye, Chem 51, Got Caught, Old Money, Versace Sour and Rah Tah Tah.
Lemonheadz supplies the other side and pushes the cross toward citrus, making Chrome Dome the lemon-leaning member of the Eye Candy family. On the palate, Maven notes a syrupy sweetness that turns toward anise and licorice.
Maven leans on Eye Candy well beyond this cut. Its strain library also lists New Money, Chem 51 and Pineapple Biscotti, the last built on an Eye Candy #2 selection.
Seeds, flowering time and plant traits
Compound sold Chrome Dome as feminized seeds in 3-, 7- and 13-packs, priced at $85, $165 and $285. All three sizes have sold out.
The plant needs an average vegetative period and finishes in 8–9 weeks of flower, or 56–63 days. Seed sellers rate it as a medium-height plant with high yields that suits both indoor and outdoor gardens.
Across the phenotypes Compound grew out, the cross showed a consistently strong bud-to-leaf ratio and heavy trichome coverage. Pure Sativa lists THC in the 27–30%+ range.
