Gridlock is a hybrid from Wizard Trees, the Los Angeles flower brand and breeder. It crosses True OG with Zangria, one of the house strains the company was built on, and it ships both as feminized seed and as finished indoor flower.
Wizard Trees pitches Gridlock as a fresh take on classic gas for OG loyalists. The OG half sets the structure and the potency, while Zangria adds vigor and a sweeter edge on the back end.
True OG meets a Wizard Trees house parent
True OG supplies the older side of the cross and most of the plant's OG character, from its dense buds to its heavy body effect. Zangria is the other half. Philosopher Seeds lists it as Zkittlez × Thin Mint Cookies, and Wizard Trees names it and Zoap as the two legacy strains that helped define the brand.
Zangria turns up all over the Wizard Trees catalog. Zoza pairs it with Zoap, Limelight pairs it with Gelonade, and the seed shop has also sold an 11:11 × Zangria cross. Gridlock is the version that puts Zangria next to a straight OG.
Wizard Trees calls Zoza a mainstay of its lineup, and Limelight is a 9-week feminized release from the same Zangria collection. Gridlock is still on the seed menu today, alongside newer drops such as Black Bow, Cauldron and Potion, while much of the older Zangria catalog has sold out.
A tall, stretchy plant in the garden
The seed release is feminized photoperiod stock, sold in 3- and 6-seed packs. Wizard Trees lists a 63-day flowering target indoors, and seed banks carrying the line put the outdoor harvest in October.
This is not a compact plant. Wizard Trees describes Gridlock as tall and stretchy with long internodal spacing, and recommends it for growers with some experience managing stretch. Philosopher Seeds suggests staking plus apical pruning or low-stress training indoors.
The payoff is yield. Wizard Trees rates it medium to high, and Seedfinder lists 350–600 g/m² indoors and 300–800 g per plant outdoors. Buds finish dense and heavy with resin, the way an OG cross usually does.
Gridlock on the flower shelf
Wizard Trees also sells Gridlock as finished product. Weedmaps carries a Wizard Trees Gridlock 3.5g indoor flower listing, with one tested batch at 26.43% THC and 0.05% CBD.
That listing describes classic OG pine and diesel up front with a sweet berry finish from the Zangria side. The seed page rates the population at around 30% THC, and Philosopher Seeds files it under extreme potency, above 30%.
Wizard Trees sells flower, pre-rolls, seeds and merch, so Gridlock is one of the strains a grower can buy as seed and a shopper can find as a finished eighth.
An evening OG from the Zangria line
Gridlock is built for later in the day. The Weedmaps listing tags the effects as relaxed and sleepy, and Wizard Trees describes the heavy, couch-lock body feel typical of strong OG varieties.
Seedfinder describes the same pattern, a deep physical buzz in the OG tradition, and Philosopher Seeds calls the body relaxation strong and long-lasting. Gridlock keeps the Wizard Trees house parent in the mix but hands the lead to True OG.
