IgniteIt Market Spotlight: California is a one-day cannabis business conference at Hotel Indigo Downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 7, 2026. IgniteIt calls it the company's fourth annual trip to the Golden State, and the format is simple: put operators, investors, regulators and service providers in one room and let the deal talk happen in a single, packed day.
Who attends
The room skews senior. Attendee titles run from CEO, COO, CFO and founder to state officials and city council members. Morning program
Registration and networking open at 7:30 AM with a networking breakfast, and opening remarks follow at 8:00 AM. At 8:20 AM, Headset presents an exclusive look at California's cannabis market, followed by a session on financial health titled Cash Is King, Credit Is Queen.
The rest of the morning covers M&A in Sell, Merge, or Survive, a discussion on California cannabis with Steve Hilton, building a company capital can't ignore, operational excellence, and a conversation with the DCC Director on the state's next regulatory chapter. A networking lunch runs 12:20–1:00 PM.
Afternoon program
After lunch, sessions look at retail through an investor's checklist, the second act for vapes, consumer demand data and tastemakers, and why California's supply chain still doesn't work. The Beverage Bet asks whether drinks are a growth engine or a niche product, and a Schedule III session covers what federal rescheduling means for California operators.
The day continues with a panel on innovation and genetic diversity and a women's health session in partnership with IgniteHER. Closing remarks land at 5:35 PM, followed by a cocktails and networking reception from 5:40–6:40 PM and the IgniteIt after party from 7:00–9:00 PM.
Who is on stage
More than 60 speakers are confirmed. California State Treasurer Fiona Ma is on the list, along with gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton, Embarc CEO Lauren Carpenter and Mammoth Distribution co-founder Wesley Hein. Past editions
IgniteIt ran two sold-out California Spotlights in 2024, then took the 2025 edition to Delta Hotels Anaheim Garden Grove on October 8, 2025. The 2026 move to downtown Los Angeles puts the conference within reach of Union Station and the Metro.
Tickets and getting there
Registration runs through the official IgniteIt event site. Hotel Indigo sits at 899 Francisco Street in downtown LA. Transit riders can use Union Station or 7th St/Metro Center, valet and self-parking are available nearby for a fee, and LAX is the closest airport if you are flying in for the day.
