GSB Badder is a glossy, lightly crystallized concentrate carrying an abbreviation rather than a cultivar name. GSB is menu shorthand, most plausibly for Golden State Banana — a documented Ghost OG × Banana Kush cross.
The Cross
There is no cultivar registered under the bare name "GSB." It is an initialism, and initialisms on extract menus are not cultivar identifiers — they are internal shorthand that escaped onto a label.
The strongest candidate is Golden State Banana, documented as Ghost OG crossed with Banana Kush. Ghost OG is the well-travelled OG Kush selection known for a heavier, fuel-forward expression; Banana Kush brings the sweet, tropical, overripe-banana character that gives the cross its name. That pairing is real, documented, and consistent with an extract carrying the GSB label.
It is not, however, confirmed for this jar. Three letters are a weak identifier, and other producers use the same three for other things.
How It's Made
Badder is created by whipping or agitating extract during a low-heat purge, folding air through until the material turns opaque and spreadable. The same extract purged longer without agitation dries into crumble; allowed to crystallize instead, it becomes sugar. All three are post-processing outcomes and none of them indicates what the extractor started with.
The material holds a firm wedge on the tool — pale golden-tan, glossy across the top, with fine crystalline texture visible throughout the body rather than a uniform smooth finish. That reads as a badder partway into sugaring, which is ordinary and often just a function of age. Colour is not a grade.
