Strawberry Bananaz is a Santa Cruz Canna Farms exclusive — a real, identifiable house cultivar whose parents have never been published. It is also one letter and one word away from DNA Genetics' Strawberry Banana, which is a completely different and far more decorated plant.
Who Makes It
Santa Cruz Canna Farms is a family-owned sun-grown operation in Santa Cruz County, sited less than half a mile from the ocean among organic strawberry fields, with more than forty years of local growing behind it. They market on freshness, terpene retention, and potency. Their California nursery license CCL18-0001726 ran from May 2019 to May 2023 and has since expired.
Summit Boys handle the extraction. They have produced California concentrates since 2016, originally under Prop 215, and their catalog — including this caviar sugar — is hydrocarbon-based rather than solventless.
The Cross
Not published. Santa Cruz Canna Farms have never released the parents, and no database carries them.
The critical distinction: this is not DNA Genetics' Strawberry Banana, which is Crockett's Banana Kush crossed with Strawberry Bubble Gum and carries an extensive competition record including hash and rosin placements.
Also distinct from Ztrawberry Bananaz, and from a separate Strawberry Bananaz released by Willow Creek Reserve — same name, different producer.
How It's Made
Sugar is a crystallisation texture. Cannabinoids nucleate within the extract, producing a grainy, wet-sand body rather than a smooth one. Producers encourage it with agitation at lower temperature and pressure, which builds crystal structure while keeping the terpene fraction intact; un-winterised extracts also sugar up naturally over time, so a grainy jar can be a deliberate finish or simply an older one.
Sugar is not diamonds. Diamonds are grown slowly inside a retained terpene liquid and sold with it; sugar is fine crystal distributed throughout the extract itself.
As a hydrocarbon product, residual solvent testing is the relevant check and lives on the COA.
A 24 percent THC figure exists for a single 2021 batch of the flower — one lot on one date, not a property of the cultivar, and not a figure that describes this concentrate.

Any award you find under "Strawberry Banana" belongs to the DNA Genetics cultivar instead.
