Lemon Zest Crumble

Brand: Summit Boys

Type: crumble

Lemon Zest is a name at least three unrelated breeders use, and two of those lines have undisclosed or conflicting parentage. The lemon-and-butter profile is consistent across reports; the genetics behind it are not. Summit Boys present it as crumble, a hydrocarbon extract with a dry honeycomb finish.

Who Makes It

Summit Boys have produced California concentrates since 2016, originally under Prop 215, and built the brand on what they call The Original White Caviar. Their catalog is solvent-based throughout: caviar badder and batter, crumble, sugar, live resin diamonds, crystalline, and sauce.

The brand took 14 awards at the 2019 Bay Area Cannabis Cup, including Best Product and Hybrid Concentrate for the Caviar.

The Cross

Three separate claimants:

Wolf Genetics — lineage undisclosed.

In House Genetics — sativa-dominant, described elsewhere as a Schrom by Purple Urkle cross.

Hash Seed — Lemon Butter Biscuits crossed with Super Lemon Haze.

How It's Made

Crumble is made by purging an extract low and slow without agitating it. Across an extended low-temperature purge the material dries and sets brittle, breaking under a tool instead of stretching. Whip the same extract during the purge and it becomes badder; let it crystallise through and it becomes sugar.

Crumble describes texture only and says nothing about starting material. Fresh-frozen input yields live resin crumble, cured material yields cured resin crumble.

What It Left Behind

The High Rise Take

When three breeders share a name and two won't publish parents, buy the jar rather than the pedigree. Compare crumble done cleanly on Sundae Driver Crumble and Space Cake Crumble, or browse the High Rise concentrate library.
