OG Gucci

Type: hybrid

OG Gucci carries a Los Angeles cultivator name and a provisional lineage, and neither one survives a check. Search the name and you mostly land on a different cultivar, Gucci OG. Treat this as a hold on a name rather than a profile of a plant.

Where It Comes From

There is no documented origin for OG Gucci. No release announcement, no dated coverage, no seed-bank entry. That absence matters more than it sounds, because most modern California cultivars leave a trail somewhere — a breeder drop, a farm's own catalog, a reviewer with a jar and a date. This one does not.

What is real is the operator the name gets attached to. The Cure Company runs six licensed Los Angeles dispensaries — CCC, Crenshaw, DTPG, Melrose, Pico and South LA — and puts genetics at the front of how it describes itself. Its own site features three house strains: Alien OG, Curelato and SkyWalker. OG Gucci is not one of them.

So the brand is documented and the name is not. Those two things get conflated constantly on menus, and that conflation is most of why this page exists.

The Cross

No breeder is verified. The stored lineage — OG Kush x Gelato — is provisional and unconfirmed, so treat it as a working note rather than a fact. For context on what that would mean if it ever gets confirmed, Gelato is documented as Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies.

That would put dessert cream and cookie dough on one side and California fuel on the other. It is a plausible cross. Plausible is not the same as real, and we are not going to write it up as though it were.

One more thing worth separating cleanly. Gucci OG is a real, widely listed Southern California cultivar generally described as an OG Kush descendant. It is not this strain. Its reputation, its potency ranges and its menu presence do not carry over, and most of what circulates online under OG Gucci is actually about Gucci OG with the words flipped.

What It Left Behind

None found. No competition placement, no named coverage, no breeder catalog entry.

The High Rise Take

OG Gucci is a name in circulation without a documented breeder, cross or release date. Judge the specific batch and the shop that stocked it, read the lab panel on that jar, and if the budtender says Gucci OG, believe the label over the conversation.
