Pure Kush is a shared name, not a single plant. Several unrelated breeders have released something called Pure Kush, and the label on its own tells you almost nothing about what is in the jar. The producer is the part that carries the meaning.
Why There Is No One Pure Kush
Multiple distinct cultivars circulate under this name from different breeders. Some descend from OG Kush, some from Hindu Kush lines, some from undisclosed clone stock that was never documented at all.
They are not versions of each other. They are different plants that arrived at the same two words, which is a recurring hazard with heritage Kush naming — the word "pure" reads like a claim about lineage when it is usually just a product name.
What To Check
Ask who bred it before you ask what it does. A breeder name, a parent pairing and a batch panel will tell you more about an unfamiliar Pure Kush than the name ever will.
Anything sold under a shared name inherits none of another producer's record. A competition result, a review or a reputation attaches to one company's entry, not to the words on the front of the jar.
